Hi slinger...

jus sayin.

*giggles* sure slinger, sure. Good thing I know Lake would never go for that, I'd be wondering about you. *falls over giggling*

Have you read The Stand by King? Very similar IMO tho not nearly as long.

I think Swan Song is the only book I've read by Robert Mccammon..

Yes, I read The Stand, probably in my late teens. It could maybe need a reread too, I remember thinking it was excellent. Yes, it was long!

I read it long ago.. I always thought it was weird that the Walking Dude seemed to disappear in a paragraph and it wasn't til years later he admitted a lot had been cut out of it to save space.. I then had to re-read the extended version which really good too.

My favorite is IT tho..

To be honest, I don't remember the story too well, an excellent reason to look it up for my vacay!

IT  creepy clown gave me nightmares for ages! Did you see IT's reprisal in 11/22/63?

No I didn't.. I havent read any horror in a long time. Probably 15 years ago or so..is it worth a read? What about Under the dome? I have that one, but haven't read it.

I really liked 11/22/63. Really the only horror part was a bit about IT and Derry?, otherwise it was a going back in time book an some my serious supernatural stuff as his books usually have. I liked that it was historical fiction, which is a fave genre for me.

I've not read Under the Dome, but I'm watching the tv series. It's a bit hokey.

Yes it is and it fits the mood I am having today liking the comfort food that never lets you down no matter what it will always be there.

Oh I know that feeling... But for me that's like mashed potatoes and gravy, with fried chicken. Makes me think of home. Usually savory foods over sweet.
