Okay, that was weird. Usually I'm on Firefox, but I couldn't get to the forums. I got a 404 error. So I went into Chrome just to see what would happen, and no problem. I even shut Firefox down and restarted.

Ah well. Perhaps the computer needs a reboot...

I'm on Firefox right now and haven't had any problems. Yesterday I had a period of about fifteen minutes where I couldn't get to the story side of the board. I think Manu is tinkering again.

Hmm. Weird. Well, in that case I'm sure it's just me. Firefox may need another restart, or more likely the computer does. But i'm lazy so I'll do it later.

Maybe you just caught lit in one of its "glitches"? every once in awhile that happens to me but after a couple of minutes its fine.

Hmmm. Could be, but I just tried it again and it still doesn't work, but only in Firefox. I have tried going in through the main page -- Literotica.com, then the Stories page, then down to forums. I have copied the link from Chrome into Firefox. None of it works, but Chrome works fine.

Sigh. I miss my Mac.

Firefox sometimes acts up for me, especially regarding Flash and Realplayer plugins. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I haven't tried using Chrome, but may give it a try. A lot of people I know rave about how good Chrome is. But I've gotten pretty damn used to Firefox.

And see, now it's working again.

I prefer Firefox on PCs, but lately this has not been working so well even though I have the latest version. Flash crashes a lot. RealPlayer isn't so much of an issue for me personally, I don't think. So I use Chrome for some things, Firefox for others. But I have been using Firefox for ages. My husband recommended the other day that I use IE for something and I had totally forgotten I even had it.

One in awhile firefox acts up in general and not just lit.

A site I see trouble on for some reason is NFL.com I know its firefox when after awhile I get this pop up saying something about a plug in.

There were 20 minutes this morning when my only internet access was on my phone! Talk about a panic. (In my defense, I was trying to email my FAWC story.)

PennLady, once you get Firefox working again, try the Mouse Gestures extension. Makes browsing so much quicker.

You might just want to restart and defrag your computer. That would take a while, but it might be necessary. Another possibility is that you may have picked up some malware somewhere. They can affect the efficiency of a browser, too.

I'm rather surprised someone didn't mention basic maintenance like this earlier.
I have to de-fragment my disk every now and again. I use the programmes from Piriform to keep my PC working OK (Ccleaner and Defraggler are, to my mind, essential).

PS. And they are free.

I second Ccleaner. I use it on all my Windows machines.
