Now I feel like I'm all behind in my baking for the holidays! But, at least I've got all my holiday cards done and some holiday shopping started! After all, there are only 73 days left until Christmas!

That is soooo wrong! I always a consider it an accomplishment to actually send out my cards BEFORE Christmas. (You know, like a week before )I think one year, I missed it and was tempted to send out cards in January saying I wanted to be the first to wish them a Merry Christmas that year.

Somebody has been smoking some fine cannabis haven't they? :D
More like your the yummy one

It can be be a good trait, or annoying which is very possible
Haven't indulged in many years, so my compliments come with a clear head. (Though a glass of St. Julian Blue Heron now and then is welcomed. ;) )
I can't see adorable you being annoying.

LW, the old saying is 'You can't hit a homerun if you don't get up to bat!' ;)

Blu, nothing can replace the feeling you get when you've done something generous for others. :)
And I was good and made an Amazon holiday order today, so Christmas shopping has started! :D

I design and print my own cards, so I cut it WAY too close every year. For example, last year they were 'Happy New Year' cards! LOL
Yet I vow every year to start earlier.....

More than I ever done, never saw the point of doing it I'm pretty mellow as it is, but I'm glad that it comes with a clear head, and I'm flattered to say the least . Nothing wrong with that ;). Yeah its a very fine line :D

Well I haven't sent them, yet. I'm waiting for the holiday stamps to come out. I usually send them out the first week of December.

One year, I didn't have time to write them out, even though I bought them. After all the holiday hoopla was over, I wrote out the cards, stamped them, then waited to mail them out in July! All of my friends and family loved getting them in July.

That's a great idea! When my girlfriend and I were roommates, we had a Christmas in July party. Got out all the decorations and set up a tree. Put gag gifts under it for our guests. It was fun!

Of course now that I've said that, the crickets will move in. :(
I was watching Walking Dead! Let it build up so we could buzz through the commercials...;)

Though I've probably missed everyone now, so have a great week everyone!

VERY busy week and busier weekend!
My daughter had a Halloween party here last night, so party prep and cleaning all week.
Woke up at 6 am this morning to find 5 kids asleep all over the living room, 3 more in the bedroom, and 4 still up and partying out in the camper!

So we're calling the party a roaring success!

Got them all up at 9 and fed them a big breakfast and sent them on their way before my mom came to visit on her way back from a wedding on this side of the state! LOL
"Quick, straighten up again!"

Stopping early to send hugs as I'm worn out and doubt I'll make it to 9 tonight. *yawn*
Hope everyone else had an eventful weekend too.

Wow Kake, sounds like you had a lot of fun. Mine was moderately interesting, as I went to a "game night" with a bunch of teachers, and felt awkward as most of them were couples. And, one I tried to ask out earlier in the weekend came over as well, adding to the discomfort.

Otherwise, it's been grading and getting ready for a busy week. I'm helping out with the school play, and missing out on some fun parties (probably). :(

And, a few other "prospects" feel through or have fallen off the map entirely. I'd be lying if I said I was totally fine this evening.

Be sure to get some sleep. Looks like you could use the rest! Have a good week!

Just dropping in hope everyone had a great weekend out there.

Did some haunted house hopping Friday and Saturday, a older woman scammed me with hayride tickets that were suppose to be a combo (haunted house & hayride). Ending up being just hayride tickets. So first time I feel for scalping, I got screwed. Then watched the Lions pull it out today, and finished putting up the Halloween decorations.

Have most of the week off, so that sha'll be fun

Hey LW,

How goes it? Yeah I understand how being at a couple party is weird, but it will be alright. Maybe they have a friend to set you up with? Or maybe a single teacher out there?

You'll find someone, the sea is pretty big out there, stay positive and you'll reel som in

It wasn't meant to be a "couples party", but some of my fellow teachers brought their SO's, so it happened by default.

As for other "single" teachers, there were a couple, thought I don't think they're into me. It's been really hard to stay positive throughout the weekend.

Okay, which one of you is this?
Congrats winning the BJ tournament at Firekeepers on Saturday!

Have most of the week off, so that shall be fun
Most of the week off IS fun, enjoy!
Haunted House Hopping sounded like a great time too.

LW, 'game night' sounds cool, even if you weren't part of a couple. Being friends with your coworkers outside of work is good for the team!

Hellos and hugs to Dominic, Blu, and Citrius. :rose:

Hope all our HI MI friends have a good week and a fun Halloween!

I'll wave to you West coast folk this evening.
I am driving the girl back to college in the Grand Rapids area.... then drivin' back... bleh.

Howdy and welcome from the Grand Rapids area. Wasn't a bad day for a drive. Hope you enjoyed your visit. :) :rose:

Hello Michigan. :rose: Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We went out and spent a bunch of money at Menards and Lowes this weekend. Finishing the basement is expensive!!

Today, after Lowes, I went grocery shopping and did some cooking. We had homemade beef stew, biscuits, and apple crisp for dinner tonight.
