Got the Honor Flight WWII Veterans up & back for a good trip on the 8th.
Next mission is on Oct 29th. Hopefully the jokers up in DC with get their crapola together
Get things reopened & let my Marines see their Memorial as well as the rest without clearing
the barricades out from around the memorials. Plus no open bathrooms is not even funny.
Takes a bus ride over to Arlington with permission to use the bathrooms.

Our next 2 missions are Oct 29th & Nov 12th.
Be nice that they don't have to move barricades & can use the bathrooms.
The one on the 12th is special. They all served in the battle of the bulge.

Have Congressman Young's Visitation wed & funeral on Thursday. :(

All went well until the cemetery here at the VA. The campus cops & the bitchy acting director were making more their power trips then was necessary. We (PGR) all worked together with the Secret Service, Sheriff's Office, Local cops, the reserve military & other mixed in military Wednesday & Thursday at the church with no issues... smooth and FRIENDLY. Due to the change of protocol for us (PGR) we had to put support vehicles at the locations instead of following the escort like normal. Since I don't have the extra large flags & live closer to the cemetery at the VA I was based there. I called over at 8:15 am to make sure the staff (who I know) were aware of the change for us & asked what time they suggested being there. I was told a time by 1 of the guys I know then someone had him put me on hold. He came back with a message from Ms "Acting Director" I was allowed there at that time but I would NOT be allowed on cemetery property. Interesting since we were there by request of the Congressman & his family.

My state PGR guy was awesome. He actually called the office FROM the funeral & asked to talk to acting director's boss so she was outted on what she did. Then once I got there the campus cops refused to let me park where the PGR bikes were supposed to be wanting me to park out in the BF boonies even with my handicapped permit. So I refused & switched hats turned around to media & parked there. Apparently nasty cop didn't realize someone could be PGR AND Media both. He sent another cops after me to ask which I was so I was happy to say I am both & gave him my business card. Then when that cop found out I had a cooler full of ice, bottles of water AND chocolate there for my guys I was suddenly ok when I mentioned as a first responder he could also have any if he'd like. He gave me NO ISSUES and had some water & chocolate later. :cool:

The campus cops did screw up big time during the burial. There is a back jogging trail they failed to secure. They were so busy glaring at the PGR team acting like they were criminals they failed to see a jogger come along that back path & through the cemetery right towards the service. I watched for 4 minutes before someone on Secret Service realized these guys were clueless & radioed them into action. Then 3 of them dropped on that guy, threw him in an SUV and disappeared.

It seems the campus cops got their chance to shoot & kill someone tonight at the ER there at the VA so their stress factor must be taken care of.

They really need to be retained into an update & professional flexible level like the Sheriff's Office & local PD are... even like what the MPs do at the reserve Center would be an improvement over this bully, nasty pick on the biker crap. I am sure they have no idea how many state level guys in leather were in that escort team. Mix of normal military to Special Forces all ranks. I am sure the staff and family for the congressman will be informed. I just really wish he'd taken care of those areas before he passed over.
