Um.... House is quiet now. There's now no extra humans aside from me and my other half in the house.... it's been 1.5 years since I've had this much space to myself. But on the flip side, I need to figure out how to cook.
I stumbled across my muse by some fluke of luck and I'm trying to remember how to string words together again, that or see what my muse might do.

Yeah I could be tired but I don't really see it. How can a prostitute use consent as a defense?
My first thought was statutory rape. But, I guess that and murder are "nonconsentable."

Isn't it just a crime where both parties consent to the illegal action?
But, also, I think that's the main reason people who support legalizing prostitution give. It's their body, and they give their consent for the other person to have sex with them, so why should it matter that money is involved in it as well?

I thought that was part of the definition though. They are consenting to break the law - they know what they're doing. Otherwise...it's not consentual.

Yeah this is completely off topic.... Err sorta....
I don't understand why prostitutes don't just record it. Sex for money, illegal. Sex for money while being recorded, legal. Wouldn't it be wise to just film it and have both parties witness it being deleted? At least that way you have a damn excuse when you get caught with your pants down by the Bacon.

This is what is stated in the book:
'Consent of the victim is any voluntary yielding of will of the victim causing him/her to agree to the act of the offending party. This defense has several elements. FIRST: the victim must be capable of giving consent. Excludes kids, the insane, the mentally defective. SECOND: the offense must be a "consentable" crime. Excludes murder, rape, etc. Some crimes consent cannot be given for. THIRD: the consent cannot be obtained by fraud. FOURTH: the person giving consent must have the authority to do so.'
I might be wrong, but what I'm getting from this is one must 'be a victim.' In a case of prostitution, how is either a victim? The man consented to paying her for sex (Solicitation), the woman consents to be paid for sex (prostitution). Both committed a crime and can be prosecuted, regardless of consent.
