Please don't refer to game wins as raping.

*hand down*

Thanks!

It's not game wins, it's epic game wins. And I will make an effort but I make no promises. Ladies want to be part of the club they don't get to complain about not getting handled with kid gloves (specially since they complain about getting handled with kid gloves in the same breath.)

My sister is like that she'll spend five minutes on a game and is already past the hardest levels. Me it takes 5 minutes just to figure out what buttons do what.

My nephew is kinda like that but it's usually more about the fact that Lady Luck is his unwilling consort. He's the kid who'll drop a controller in frustration and then the last two bad guys will spontaneously commit suicide and everybody in the room is all 'seriously?' I hate this bullshit. It's not even fair. It's rare that he can recreate the miracle when you need it though. But hey last boss, one shot only, rediculous angle. He's got that.

Okay, cool. It's a preference, I'm sure you know why. It's not about kid gloves, it's the same as me objecting to lots of words like retard, fag, stuff used as an insult where it shouldn't. I can't take it casually 'cause of my own choices and decision to be a complete dork and say so. I do not ask for it 'cause I'm a girl, I am also thinking men don't like being raped particularly much. It just bumps me out of fun space and into icky reality space.

I hate icky reality space! Plus, in a game, if you said it, I could beat you to death with something and I can't here, so I have limited options.

...literally everything she says pisses me off and I'm not even sure why anymore. You don't get to tell other people that they can't say fucking 'fag' or tell me not to like non-con. Jesus fucking Christ.

I have been on lit all day. I think my blood is getting too angry. Might be time for a break.

As I said, effort shall be made. I just make no promises. And perhaps YOU weren't asking as a girl I just hear it a whole lot in various rooms about how this that or the other is offensive. It tends to be 'rape' and 'bitch' that special offense is taken too. I know you're all sensitive and I try, more than you think, to limit my language to polite. I stand by my, you came into the club house, you get to learn the ropes. Just like if I decide to go hang out at Book Club I get to listen to you takl about how all men are useless, stupid, leave the toilet seat up etc etc etc. That is the price we pay.

On a happier note though a bit off subject Marvel's Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. was pretty good. The writing needs a little bit of work but I think that's just Stan Lee's touch and him liking things a little hammy.

I haven't seen it... I really need to before I start losing all my nerd cred.

I think men are awesome. You should never forcibly book-club them. You should object. If I can object to rape and bitch, you should be allowed to object at being randomly Oprahed and asked to express your feelings without sex being guaranteed, probably by everybody in the club if they're all present. Thems my rules.

I'd have objected if it a girl said it, if that helps. I appreciate that you're careful with me and yes, I did expect so, because you're really NOT that nice to lots of people. It's a courtesy, which is why I also raised my hand politely. We can do well, and if it happens again, I may not say anything, but I do say it once, I am pretty sure it has never come up or I was skimming.

Is that a TV show or a web series or what? Ulaven would probably adore this. I think the last one done by Stan Lee was Stripperella? That was fun. Anyway, that's a lot of guessing, but otherwise I'd have to go look it up and then you couldn't educate me on reality and that would be a shame.

Joss wheadons writing it actually. I missed it and need to check it out.

Well, THAT made me look it up in a hurry. We'll catch up.

I would have missed Sleepy Hollow too, and that would have been a mistake.

This is why I need Lit, to hook me up with the good stuff when I was inattentive.

I see...Joss Whedon and Jed Whedon. Ming-Na Wen! good stuff.

I have no idea who Jed Whedon is.

We've watched both and it is really good so far. Not the best thing ever, but better than your average attempt at fantasy.

I...didn't get far in Once Upon A Time. Bored. Wandered off. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it just couldn't inspire me to sit still for 45 minutes.

Yes Joss is writing it, but he usually isn't this hammy with his dialogue. After watching Heroes and some of the other things Stan Lee has produced and watching Avengers which was also Joss I'm blaming Stan for the fact that these guys sure like to throw around the word Hero until it sinks into your skull. A couple other lines were truly groanworthy. Like one guy actually says "it's an origin story!"

I love how it's officially connected to the Marvel Movie Universe though, with lots of references back to the Avengers and Ironman. At least since the show seems (as of episode 1) to be focused out of Los Angeles they at least avoid needing to explain why the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spiderman (off the top of my head) aren't present. That was one thing that really bugged me in Avengers even though there was a good reason for it (legally) but I doubt they own spider webs or red energy blasts and that's all it would have taken would have a couple of flash shots of guys in webs, an energy blast or two, an invisible barrier protecting some civilians so you knew that everybody was there.

You only missed one episode guys! Sorry I forgot to warn you, I'll do better in the future. Don't miss Tommorow People!

Is Sleepy Hollow really good. I want to watch it but it runs up against WWE and Two Broke Girls so if needs to be hella good if I'm gonna watch it cus it's gonna mean giving up something I really like.

I'm usually pretty rolley eyed with the hammy dialogue, but it depends on the delivery or the tone, I might be right along with it on the assumption that silly is fun.

I actually really hated the Avengers movie because there just wasn't enough actual humor and it was all dependent on pretty and brittle and there was no humanity in the characters except about how pretty and brittle they were. Ick. I also really despised Dollhouse. But I am always willing to give him a try. When he's allowed to run roughshod over the genre he's spoofing, it's great. When he gets serious and dour and has no creative leeway, he's just smart with no heart.

Sleep Hollow is good enough to watch. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it's got a good cast. I'm not sure it'll stay good to watch, though. First two were good.

Did you watch the other movies heading in? Avengers despite a solid attempt to make it so isn't a stand alone movie. It's really the finale for four other movies.

I loved Dollhouse except for the ending but I'm the guy who thinks as good as it was Firefly is severely over rated.

My issue with Joss tends to be he needs a budget to keep him in line. I love Buffy and Angel but those comics are fucking mental.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't like them. I like the X-Men franchise because they had smarter story lines and better character development.

These were just ridiculously awesomeness arrogant fantasy fulfillment in my opinion. Thor was "I'm pretty and you suck" and Iron Man was "I'm Rich and you suck" and so on.

Firefly was my favorite, but I really think he would have ruined it given time. He likes to build awesome characters and then fuck them up and watch us all be sad.

I prefer Supernatural, the kind of thing that focuses on close relationships and characterization but does a minimal of majestically stupid and soap opera.

Wow. I was shocked by how good Thor was. My main complaint about the movie was they did a really bad job in my opinion of making Loki out to be the bad guy. It's literally not until the final act that he starts doing anything really bad and mos tof what he does isn't just excuseable it's what was right.

I love the Ironman movies (haven't seen 3 yet though)

I love Supernatural but the drama, which is minimal how? Really drags. Here's what happens every single season. One of them dies and comes back and is pissed the other one did something while they were dead. They spend half the season moping about how it sucks in Hell, Purgatory, the Cage, they're pissed you sold your soul, moved on, came back crazy. They stick together because they don't have a good option and then they start over. If Crowley weren't perfect I'd have probably quit years ago (and I very nearly did at the end of Season 5 with the defeat of Lucifer and I often wish that I had.)

Buffy only had season 6 as a hiccup and Angel was solid throughout though. Hopefully this turns out good.

Hah! I don't actually disagree with your assessment of Supernatural except that I think there's a ton more intent to be witty in the cracks and when they argue or have drama there's almost always a really good line in there.

I agree with you on Crowley. I love that actor.

The reason why I hated Thor is was it was so...very...melodramatic. Seriously it looked like a girl fight to me. Make up, girls, nobody cares. At least I don't care. I checked out. Bored.

Supernatural does work in good lines. And there is a flawless mirrored speech from Sam and Dean (I think from when they first fight Vampires) that's repeated when Lucifer and Micheal fight. It's all about why are you a good little boy following orders when the orders suck blah blah blah. I'm usualy the first person to call bullshit when a writer says they've got this time thing planned out years in advance but seriously that was beautiful. I probably wouldn't mind the drama if it didn't feel so recycled. Especially the S6, S7 arc and if Benny wasn't so obviously an expy for Ruby so hard that they should have just brought back Ruby. At least I liked her for more than her accent.

If you like the actor of Crowley you might want to check out Leverage. I don't know how much you like spy shows (and their theives not spies but the same basic rules apply) but he's a recurring character there and I think he' still Crowley.

I can see how you could come to that conclusion with Thor. I more came to the "he's a spoiled brat, with his spoiled brat friends. His underloved brother tries to keep the fucking universe from ending but his whiny brother and bratty friends did everything they could to fuck him over and eventually he realized if they are gonna treat me like a villain I might as well act like one.

I really did love Benny though. They pick good actors.

I did watch Leverage and I saw his part in it. Leverage was one of those shows that devolved into soap opera though. But I kept watching long after I should have stopped just to see Parker, even though I just wanted to punch Sophie and wait for her to bleed out.

Gods, do I not care for entitled rich kids scrapping over the spoiled, rich kingdom. That's why it was wish fulfillment. "I could behave all day long like God's gift...because...HAH! I AM! Hah! Isn't that awesome!"

I re-watched an episode of Supernatural on the train yesterday.
Season 8 episode "Goodbye Stranger"

Meg: Do you remember the pizza man?

Castiel: Yes, I remember.

Meg: If we survive this, I'm going to order some pizza and we're going to move some furniture around. Ya get me?

Of course, she dies.

That is why I love that series. I think it did the best managing to be entertaining even during the drama. House gets second place, but seriously he just did dumb, inexplicable crap for no reason and the writers knew it. At least Sam and Dean did dumb stuff in the sacrificial sense.

Gonna record Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and we need to catch the first one, I don't see it on demand.

I'd say if you're last name isn't Winchester you die in Supernatural but that's not true. It's more accurate to say if your last name is Winchester and you have a brother that loves you very very much death is sort of a revolving door for you. Like I wonder how many more trips they need before they get a free ice cream cone.

I liked the line in Buffy. "We have to try/We'll pay the price/
It's do or die/ Hey, I've died twice"

It kinda had to happen, you can't explore the realities or heaven or hell after establishing them as real unless you go there.

I also really love Ash.

Ash: This ain't the first time you been here. I mean, you boys die more than anyone I have ever met.
Dean Winchester: Really?
Ash: Ahh, yeah, you don't remember. God! Angels... must have Windexed your brains.

Pamela Barnes: [slaps Dean on the side of his head] That's for getting me killed.
Dean Winchester: Yeah, that's probably less than I deserve. If it makes you feel any better, we got Ash killed too.
Ash: [Clicks fingers and makes the horns gesture] *I'm cool with it!*
Dean Winchester: He's cool with it.
