"The total number of immigrants living in this country unlawfully edged up from 11.3 million in 2009 to 11.7 million last year, with those from countries other than Mexico at an apparent all-time high, according to a report released Monday by the Pew Research Center’s Hispanic Trends Project. .. Still, based in part on other factors such as increased U.S. border apprehensions, the sharp decline in illegal immigration from 2007-2009 has clearly bottomed out, with signs the numbers are now rising, Pew said"

Wasserman Schultz’s Book: Obamacare Not Sacred

While still condemning “fear mongering” about Obamacare, Debbie Wasserman Schultz encourages Democrats to consider changes to the health-care law in her upcoming book, For the Next Generation: A Wake-Up Call to Solving Our Nation’s Problems. The Democratic National Committee chairwoman has been one of the law’s fiercest defenders since its passing, accusing its critics of engaging in McCarthyism; earlier this week, she penned a Politico op-ed labeling to GOP’s efforts to get rid of Obamacare a “reckless stunt.”

But in her book Wasserman Schultz strikes a different tone, writing “that engagement [about possible changes] certainly should include past critics of the law.” According to the Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard, the Florida representative tells Democrats that they “must not treat every minute provision in the law as sacred.”

“In short, [the solution is] wonky, requiring intensive study and critical thinking rather than simple sound bites from the campaign stump,” Wasserman Schultz explains.

For the Next Generation is due to be released October 15.

THEY TOLD ME IF I VOTED FOR MITT ROMNEY, POVERTY ACTIVISTS WOULD COMPLAIN ABOUT HARSH LAWS. AND THEY WERE RIGHT! Little Sisters of the Poor sue over Obamacare fines, contraception requirement. “Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius finalized a contraception mandate that ignores the fact groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor are religious organizations, according to a lawsuit filed to protect them against fines for refusing to comply with an Obamacare mandate.”

Michigan to offer more health exchange choices than any other state

Michiganians will have an average of 43 plans to choose from — categorized as bronze, silver, gold or platinum depending on whether the insurance company covers 60 percent, 70 percent, 80 percent or 90 percent of health care costs. The consumer will pay the rest in the form of premiums, deductibles and co-pays.

Buhs said 140 plans will be offered on Michigan’s health insurance exchange, but not everyone will be eligible for 140. Michigan has a little more than a million uninsured people.

Against all odds, an American stands alone to fight for the freedom of millions on the Senate floor, honor him.

Ted Cruz is filibustering a bill he wants to pass. And trying to drum up cash. And pretending that if the government shuts down that the ACA gets defunded, basically promising you things that aren't based in reality.

“shutting down the government will not stop Obamacare.”
- Mitch McConnell.

Mitch tells the truth for once in his life and you all ignore him.

They don't want to defund Obamacare, they want to defund Obama.

It won't stop Reid from doing what he's going to do, but Cruz has shamed a lot of democrats through the night pointing out and proving that Obamacare is a real nightmare. As Drudge tweeted last night, Cruz, and Paul have seized the heart of the Republican Party.

Poll on U.S. government shutdown spells trouble for Republicans

By Richard Cowan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - As Republican lawmakers pushed ahead on Monday with a campaign to scuttle President Barack Obama's healthcare program, a survey suggested that they risk a public backlash should their efforts lead to a government shutdown or a default.

The CNBC poll reported that by a 59-19 percent margin, respondents opposed linking defunding of "Obamacare" to a possible shutdown starting on October 1, or to a failure to raise the government's borrowing authority, meaning Washington may not be able to pay all of its bills by sometime in October or early November.

Yes resonating with 19% of ordinary Americans. Or basically not ordinary Americans at all. Ted Cruz's actions are less than half as popular as Obamacare itself.

Vette is dealing in Patriot Math (tm) though so 19% can be "most" of America.
