Maybe one year I'll get to see it up close and personal. You've been then? :D

Drove it once.
At 60km/hr (the speed limit for ordinary drivers) coming down the mountain was frightening the first time, not knowing the road!
How these guys do it at the speed they do is beyond me!

That's why there are there - balls of steel :D

So, woken up to yet another clear day :)
V8's today, so I need to get out and get everything done this morning. At least I have some help here today.... the kidley has a mate over, so the heavy stuff can get done. Plus I have some more coming for lunch tomorrow, and I will press-gang them in to doing firewood for me!
With a cracked elbow, I can't split wood - and the kidlet is banned from all heavy stuff for 6 weeks.

Totally NOT happy with the compulsory 4-stop rule for Sandown :(
It favours some teams.
Oh well.... maybe we'll get lucky and have a well-timed safety car to even things up a bit!

Note to self -
Must remember to stay away from fb during raceday in order not to spoil the ending of races!

Oh dear, WQ.... Shouldn't you be fitted with an automatic spoiler alert??? ;)

BTW - back in the dim dark ages, was the passenger in car that popped over Skyline traveling pretty smartly (before the 60km speed limit was in place)....not sure what speed we were doing as I was too busy peeling myself off the roof lining! :D

I noticed that the first mention of a racing debate in ages was enough to flush Gil out for a brief comment..... maybe that's the way he can be rehabilitated back into regular appearances in the Aussies thread.

I'll be recording it and will watch it on Monday, so should I stay away from technology altogether to prevent spoiling it for me? :)

Me too :D

I love all forms of motor sports.... from speedway to rally to V8's to Formula 1.
:D

BANDIT:heart: likes NASCAR & V8 because she can fall asleep when they are on.

F1 I think is a bore the only passing is in the pits or if someone crashes or breaks down, Johnny Harvey agrees with me & he has been there done that.
