Well, looks like I have no fried chicken for Leftover Thursday. My son texted me to inform me that his two besties came over and asked if I had made anything good last night. He made the mistake of telling them fried chicken.

I made 4 legs, 4 thighs, 4 breasts, and 4 wings last night, with enough leftover for another meal. That meal was today. The girls ate up the rest of it, along with my son, who made them our version of Red Robin's Campfire Sauce - equal parts mayo and bbq sauce, with a smidge of dried chipotle.

He added that they're headed to a farmers' market to pick up berries and veggies, to replace what they had

Sweet: Chocolate crepes with Mixed berry couli

Edit: put the lemon in at the end for the couli if you like it tart. Or with a pinch of brown sugar.

My couli is equal parts sugar and water, plus raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. Trust me, there's no need for lemon.

I know, I go through it at my office when I bring in tiropitakia. I get bulldozed and spend my time serving instead of eating. Still, its ok!

Well, it was worse, when I was the stay-at-home parent. I was *expected* to make mini-rolls every week, whether for the other moms in the neighborhood, or the moms from the school when the kid was going, or the wife...

Well, he'll be fine. He's heard me say worse, but I was pretty mad when it just spewed out like that. I'd like to think he doesn't learn that as "normal" conversational vocabulary.
On that note, it's one thing that really gripe me about some people that they can't put a filter on in front of children. I'm perfectly fine with your lack of useful words to enrich your speech, however, if you can't come up with anything else to say beside "God damn, Muther Fucker...fucking, fuck and shit..." Please, kindly keep your mouth shut around little ears.

I wanted my little av to be bigger. Poo... it's so tiny now. It really is a nice painting. Daddy raises snakes, hence my snake charmer.

RA, at the Kindergarden age , kids are like little recorders/players. I one day went to a cash machine , my oldest, now 24 was about that age and the ATM ate my card. Being of good irish stock I said , 'Shit' ..and my daughter following me back to the car was saying, 'oh shit , oh shit , oh shit' as various levels in her voice. I started watching my language.

It depends completely on the ripeness of the fruit. Ive made it w/o and it can taste like it came out of a jar if everything is on the outside of overripe. Gotta kill the sugar.
