Humans really are just chimps with nicer sport jackets.
You got a sports jacket?
All I got was a fez and a vest.

Sport jacket, yeah. And the instinct to aggressively extinguish that band of humans from over the next hill that's encroaching on our termite mounds and females.

I am so jealous. All I got was an "I'm with stupid" t-shirt.
Hey! That's no way to talk about your best friend!
<hug> Missed you, girl.
LMAO, I think a stupid person printed it or maybe a monkey because the arrow points upwards. *hugs* how ya been luv? Keeping in enough trouble for both of us?
Heh, you know it.
And ditch that shirt, would you, please? Who bought it? Your mother?![]()
*smiles* pics or trouble didn't happen
Funnily enough no, no idea from whence it came, maybe I should have a ceremonial burning of it.
Oddly enough, pics ARE exactly the trouble I'm getting into.
Burning. Or donate it to a really despised charity.![]()
That sounds like the perfect sort of troubleMake sure that you enjoy it.
Hmmm a despised charity? How about jelly wrestling instead where the shirt has to be ripped off and the proceeds go to charity instead?
My nephew and his partner...sigh. They are both young (21 & 20) and they have a 1.5 year old daughter. I watch their life unfold on Facebook and frequently have to bite my tongue and remind myself: "young".
But the thing that drives me BATTY is that they are always broke and yet both seem to find money for tattoos. Urgh. If it was just them, I'd say "Whatever, enjoy your Kraft Dinner" but they have a child. This is so freaking irresponsible I just want to drive over and strangle them both.
How can you possibly rationalize a tattoo when you're broke and you have a young child to care for????![]()
How much do tattoos cost? Is that their only splurge? I've seen worse than that for sure, and it's tough to watch. At least health care is covered there!
Well, when I see posts about how the cats have fleas and now the apartment is infested, and they can't afford proper flea control. And I know my sister is subsidizing them left right and center. And my nephew is constantly whining about a lack of money--to the point where he can't even afford a slurpee two days before payday. And...
Yeah. Too bad. There are better more economical ways to treat yourself than a tattoo. I don't know the exact cost but I know they aren't cheap.
Ugh. Anyone choosing luxuries over the basics for their kid is gross.

I've been looking at tattoo designs for a year. Because A) it's kinda sorta permanent and B) I can't bring myself to even get a price quote for what I want until X amount of bills/debt/whatever it paid off.

Next time you see him, kick him in the nads and tell him he owes the kids a set of Christmas presents. Rinse and repeat until he follows through.I was friends with a married couple who were going through a hard time financially and the wife was frantic because they had no money for Christmas presents for her 3 kids. He had persuaded her to give up her job and start a business with him, which was then failing due to his total lack of effort.
In sympathy, I sent her a small amount of cash for the kids' presents as they lived a couple of hundred miles away. He thanked me by sending me a photo of him raising a glass of vodka from one of the two litre bottles he'd treated himself to out of the money. I don't know if I was more furious with him for being so selfish or myself for being stupid enough to facilitate it.

It's funny how even in somewhere as fairly anonymous as lit, I'll hesitate to actually POST somethings. What if the person I'm venting about IS on this site? and READS IT? AND KNOWS O_O *paranoia*
Nothing negative, for the record...just sensitive. I suppose there are somethings one really just needs to keep to oneself xD Ach weil...
