We have less votes than we had poems in the first round.

That's like a house full of kids and no pictures on the fridge. It's not natural.

We know most poets are introverts and the ones who are not, tend to be insufferable, but this needs to be done.

All the men who browse the forum should pretend they wrote a poem on a napkin, then followed a stripper home and left it taped to her door. All the women should pretend they are the stripper.

That's the state of poetry today. Vote for change.

I was on vacation on the first round, but shit--they're all good poems. How do I choose?

I don't really want to.

Forget your stripper analogy, I'm looking at several Miss Poetry 2013 sashes draped delicately over breasts and hips and trying to remind myself not to touch the merchandise.

Jeez.

I will vote, dammit. Just give me some time.

All of them were good.

I did not want to choose.

Why competitions suck, I think. #opinion

i voted as soon as they went up. the one i voted for, though, deserves more votes than it's received so far. i think i know who wrote it but will have to wait and find out when that's revealed.

Won't we all.....I was tempted to play booky, I have my ideas on some of the others too. :D
i've got definite ideas about four of the authors - it'll be fun to see how the pan out.

I'd start a book but I think it's against the law. :D

Laurel put up a link on the front page this morning (thank you, Laurel!), so I'm hoping we get some traffic from non-forum regulars. That would be awesome imo.

Ye gods! It was difficult to pick, they're all so good. It almost came down to the (digital) blindfold and pin.

Some of the world's greatest poetry was lost because it was written on a cocktail napkin and left on a strippers door.

Don't let this happen again. Vote now.

..
was looking for that poem of yours about a snowplow when I found this this
..
crows are fascinating and have a language all their own. nice work

Crows are very intelligent and seem to have a sense of humor, or it seems that way to me when I watch them. I know for sure they're smart. I once saw one use a tool of sorts to open a duck egg. The crow flew up to a telephone line and dropped a little stone on the egg and the egg cracked open. That's reasoning there for sure.

As for the snow plow poem, I'm sure you mean Stone Cold April Snow.
