Good morning everyone.

Isn't it a beautiful morning? Every morning is going to be beautiful! ...yes, we received good news; great news!

The chemotherapy treatments are working. Half of Jazz's cancer is gone! The remaining tumors are now half the size they were when she started treatment. She's winning the fight; the cancer is losing!

The not-so-good part of it is that she still has to continue her treatments for another month. But it's okay, because we know the chemo is working and she's getting better. She couldn't stop crying when the doctor told her the good news, neither could I or our daughters.

We're going out to the casino this weekend, her favorite activity, to celebrate and we're going to win big! Hey, we're on a roll; I'm not stopping now!

Thank you all for your support throughout all of this. Jazz was terrified that she was going to get bad news, and I told her that everyone (in here and throughout the family) was thinking of her. I love you guys.

Wish us luck... I'm going to need it; I still have a kitchen to finish.

Good news Captain! We're still keeping you in our thoughts.

Hey All! Just checking in. 33/Male/Grand Rapids. Awesome weather today. Had a blast hitting the beach today, but because a simple day spent at the beach somehow "exhuasted" my wife, I'm here at not even 10:00 on a Saturday night while she went to bed 40 minutes ago. Man, I really need a woman with more energy and stamina, because nights like this suck. lol

A day at the beach is pretty exhausting, but I still can't go to bed before 10 unless I'm sick.

On the flip side, be glad she doesn't get up at 3:30 for work every day. It's only 8:15 and Bob has been in bed for almost an hour.

Sorry. I waited around a while and then since I was all alone, put the computer down.

I'm good. Had a pretty busy weekend here. We bought a new car for the teenager. She's now driving the same thing as me-or she will be, except 5 years older, but surprisingly with fewer miles. It needs a little work (tires, brakes, etc.) but it will be much better on gas than her old one. So if anyone's looking for a 98 GMC Yukon with 4 wheel drive give me a shout.

Bob and I went hot tubbing today, great afternoon for naked swimming. Got a little sun, but not so much that I'm in pain.

Yeah it's going to be weird. They're even the same color so we'll both be driving maroon Sonatas. But I've always loved mine, and said I'd happily buy another one. Guess I was telling the truth.

We've had a 20 year 'Taurus' jag going...and looking for another! We can't seem to kill them, just pass them down to the kids. If we find a newer one we'll have to retire the oldest one.

We've had a 20 year 'Taurus' jag going...and looking for another! We can't seem to kill them, just pass them down to the kids. If we find a newer one we'll have to retire the oldest one.

I considered a Taurus, but Bob is not a Ford guy.

I didn't nap today, but I'm a fan of naps whenever I can get them.

Killing the family is definitely a bad move, no matter how tempting. Glad you managed a get together without any bloodshed.

My step-dad was an engineer for Ford, so kinda got sucked into those early.

I spent a good part of my day putting together an elliptical exercise machine today. Oldest wanted one for her birthday coming up.
It came in a billion pieces.
Took a few hours!

My family has never been particularly loyal to one brand in the past. We have had Fords, Chevys, Pontiacs, Buicks, Renaults, Nissans, Toyotas, and Hyundais. There seems to be a bit more loyalty now as we're on our 2nd Silverado, 2nd Sonata, and my folks are on their 2nd Focus.

As we hand them down to our kids, my parents handed me down a bunch of Fords before I started buying my own. He'd get 'program' cars that many ended up mine.



Have been watching too much 'BBQ Pitmasters' competitions on TV and have been inspired to try 'rubs' and 'injecting'. Today I tried a pork loin roast that didn't come out as moist as they showed on TV. Will keep experimenting and hope for better success! LOL

Looking forward to a day off tomorrow, I'm hoping to do as little as possible!

I watch quite a bit of Food Network, and while I enjoy some of the tips I get there, I have yet to be tempted to really step out of my comfort zone. I'm sure that part of the reason, is that Bob's a picky eater.
