Well, it appears there is one Lib. who actually learned the true facts of what happened. It's a shame those on this forum and on TV and in the news media don't follow his example.

It was an interesting editorial. The RW sites are going to fall over themselves quoting the passage the dweeb up there did. But in fact, Saletan places blame mostly on Zimmerman (emboldened by his gun), and notes that both men made assumptions about the other (which Saletan doesn't seem to connect to race, even while seemingly connecting it exactly to race). He also mocks Zimmerman's lawyer for proclaiming any kind of absolution; all the jury did, he notes, was what they had to do if the prosecution failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

We've reached the age when non-extremism in one direction is viewed as wholesale endorsement of the other. It's annoying.

According to the 911 recording, he thought the suspicious character was black but was unsure. The fact he was a male teenager probably meant much more than his race, although that probably can't be proven, except for the fact his personal history showed no examples of racism.

The search of Trayvon Martin’s backpack turned up at least 12 pcs of ladies jewelry, and a man’s watch, in addition to a flat head screwdriver described as “a burglary tool”.

When Trayvon was questioned about who owned the jewelry and where it came from, he claimed he was just holding it for a “friend”. A “friend” he would not name.

The Trayvon of the trial was 12 year-old cute Trayvon, full of potential, an innocent youth who had done no wrong until he met up with a white vigilante looking to gun himself down some black people.

But that is not the youth who got shot. Who actually got shot was a thug, a petty criminal and by the account of the state's star witness, a virulent homophobe.

So that makes two "groups" who were shoved to the back of the bus in the name of "Black LIberation Theology," Hispanics and Gays.

Fake Outrage In The Martin/Zimmerman Case

Having lived half my life in the Middle East, I am especially sensitive to recognizing fake outrage and shaming forced upon ordinary people by the social system. Every society uses shaming to define its morality, but some societies go too far in using and abusing shaming words that make people cringe and shrink whenever they are mentioned. Such intentional shaming is often fake and bogus done for the purpose of manipulating and controlling other. In America, expressions like 'racist' and in the Muslim world expressions like 'apostate' can do the trick of silencing citizens and keep them muzzled and beaten down.


The Muslim world is at the top of the list of cultures that perfected the art of fake and exhibitionist outrage and shaming to prevent the natural mental evolution of people to go to the next level and evolve beyond old baggage. The sacred cow of Muslim countries is to keep people under the control of Islamic law through government enforcement and to prevent any change in that regards. Thus it is not a coincidence that Islamic law dictates that the number one job of the Muslim head of state is "to preserve Islam in its original form and never accept any novelty."


The tool of shaming and fake outrage is nothing new in American politics but its use by the present administration, especially in the Martin/Zimmerman case, have taken America to a new low. Running out of true racism cases, the Obama administration had to find a fake race outrage to divert the attention off its scandals, similar to what Islamists do when they call their opponents 'apostate.' Desperate to change the subject, by an administration engulfed in scandal, they decided to take anything even the poorest case that resembles racism.


This is the same fake outrage the Obama administration created over 'the video' in the Benghazi scandal. As in many Muslim cultures, Obama's poeple have perfected the technique of shaming to claim moral superiority. Attorney general, Eric Holder, who describes America as a "nation of cowards," won't quit his outrage over the Martin/Zimmerman case.


The activist Left is determined to rub America's nose periodically to the ground to keep leverage over their opposition and continue the profitable business of race politics. It is embarrassing and difficult to see the Left using every shaming tool to preserve their sacred cow accusations of racism for the sake of winning elections. It does not matter to race baiters that the American people will become enslaved by the tyranny of shaming and will never move beyond the guilt over slavery, which was a worldwide phenomenon not only between black and white but more often within the same race.


Like the fake Palestinian problem in the Muslim world, the race problem in America must be perpetuated and kept alive for the sake of covering up bankrupt agendas, resistance to change and lazy thinking. Like the Palestinian problem, those who refuse to be honest about their intentions must never resolve America's race saga.


And now America, its government media and educational system, have all become experts in the culture of shaming and fake outrage to manage the direction of where the country is heading at the expense of moving beyond racial consciousness. We now have a whole new generation of young Americans who would rather defend terrorists and criminals rather than being called racists or bigot.


We now also have TV anchors and hosts who are behaving on camera like obedient little boys and girls who get outraged over nonsense and stay unmoved to outrage. They have been trained to defy their God-given commonsense for what they believe is the greater good in order to protect media power over government rather than stay in their place to merely report.


The American psyche, its innocence and respect for free thinking have be greatly harmed by the growing culture of shaming, name calling, intimidation and fake outrage. Perhaps Tahrir Square in Egypt today stands as a symbol of what can happen to a people who fall victim to the tyranny of shaming to form a stranglehold on an entire culture.


The word 'racist' has become meaningless and an insult to the intelligence of the majority of Americans who deserve better. Just like the dreaded word 'apostate' thrown all the time in the Muslim world. Reasonable people are offended by the use of the word racist in America and the use of the word apostate in Muslim countries. These highly charged words are terribly cruel, oppressive and tyrannical and must be taken out of our everyday vocabulary and reserved to real cases of abuse of man to fellow man.

Fake Outrage In The Martin/Zimmerman Case

It's called the "Race Game" and how it's played is exemplified by our buddy YANCEY in an earlier post. You can also call it the "Dominate and Censor Game." Here is how it's played;

1. The minority, or it's spokespeople, get to make the rules.

2. They also get to change the rules at any point in the game play should their opponents score a point.

3. There is no 'end game.' The game must be played in perpetuity else the opponents get out from under the thumb.

The goal of the game is to subjugate and silence any opposing view, not by any reasoned debate, rather by humiliation, legal chicanery, and/or threat of violence.

Obviously there is no way to win the 'game', the only alternative is to not play the game at all. To shun and/or point and laugh at those that try to drag you into the game. Force the gamesters to play the game with each other, the effects of which are starting to show in the Zimmerman case.
