Just caught in a DOWNPOUR, I walked my daughter up to the pool for swim practice and once we got there BOOM!

Ithe rain but not when I am without transportation with a little one to get home.
When my Progeny was little, if it was not thundering, I'd have to tie him down to keep him from running in the rain LOL

She loves that too, but I am talking about thunder so loud and close that I let out a scream.

Best one I have is a bunch of "macho male teens" playing football in the street and lightning strikes a quarter mile away: Flash and boom. Half of them running like little girls, screaming for their mommies. LOL

It's gone down to 55f here but it feels so much hotter than that
Where I am in relationship to NYC, it's not unknown for it to be 90 at 3 PM, and get down to 55 by midnight.

Its 91 and humid and supposed to get hotter as the week progresses with some storms thrown in for good measure.

Closest for me was lightning hitting a pole just several feet in front of me at an RV park.
I could feel the hair stand up on my neck.

About 10 years ago, we had a lightning bolt hit a house 3 up from us. The electricity caused damage to our tv, and knocked out several others in between us.
The closest I've come during my athletic years was during a summer soccer game. The game had just been called for the storm, I was diving into my dad's work van with others from both teams when a bolt hit one of the goals. No one was hurt, but you should have heard some of the soccer moms swearing

One of my meds once made 60 degrees feel like 90!

But if it helps the pain, right?
Mine helps alleviate the arthritis pain, yes.
Makes it worthwhile then. Mine helps with the back pain.

Mine's for an old soccer/football injury that wasn't diagnosed correctly.
I just don't know how they can manage to do things like that, and now you have to suffer
