As much as I love RED, I know she often gets distracted and forgets there are those of us in LIT who want to know she's doing well. Last time she was gone for a length of time, she gave me her new E-Mail address in case she got neglectful again.

I hope you're doing well SCENT. I am here at the computer for the next several hours as I work towards a HELLISH deadline.

Aren't all deadlines HELLACIOUS?

I kind of did this to myself RJ, but I had a creative block and it's now lifted, thank God. I am way past deadline, so as I finish this, I have to continue writing at the pace of about 3 per day. I hope to finish next Saturday (the 15th) or 16th. The story I am writing now is the last of the "big" stories (4500 - 6000 words) I must write and then I add some "medium" tales (3500 or better) before moving on to the final tales that only have to be 2000 words. Still, it's a lot of work and brain-mushing madness.

I hate blocks, especially when it pertains to work

I'd never had such a total block RJ and until this year, never had one at all. Not only that, I had an aversion to writing. I did not want to write. I'd still like a "writing holiday" of about a month, but unless I get far ahead, it won't happen. Luckily, my health seems to have stabilized and I can push my limits once again.

Just to let you folks know, I just dashed off a quick note to RED. I hope we hear back from her shortly.

I did hear back from RED. She says hello to all, she is super busy with work and family life. Her daughter heads to Argentina shortly and family is keeping her busy. She checks her mails and FB, so if you have any messages, I can send them along. All else is well.

*Slides in and takes a seat at my desk.*

Hey all... I have Buffalo Wings from the graduation party left over. :)

Yes.... graduation is done, the party is over, the mess (mildly cleaned up)... I've got the night off, tomorrow as well, though the daughter leaves for Argentina in the later part of the morning... but what does this all mean? It means I have a moment to stop by and wave and talk and say "HI!"

Hi and send the wings to me. Progeny ate all my wings from mom's party on me

Good evening RED. I wish that I could stay longer but I am mobile and will be shutting down soon to catch a ride home and then have a few important things to do there as regards getting someone Out of my building at last.

The BBQ ones were the favored ones. Guess not everyone likes it hot. ;) However with that said, I still have 2 left when the last "late comers" to the party appeared. There is a lot of cake too.

 I'll try to be around some tomorrow. I won't be around mid-morning though, the daughter meets up with the Mission group at 10:30am, so we'll be saying our goodbyes then. :(

Oh the Thin One will do cake! Loves it, eats it, never gains freaking weight!

Ohhhh vacation! Where are we going? (I'm hoping to travel on vacation as well, but not until the second week of July).

Virginia Beach. It's going to be a slow trip there, taking 13 hours to do a 9 hour trip.

I have my books ready, for the trip down - since I am NOT going to drive - and for the beach.

Oh yes, I remember now that you mentioned that to me before. I too am heading that way, but again in July and it too will be slow going. We're actually stopping at Breaks Interstate Park and spending several days there, before heading to Triangle, VA, where we'll camp and then drive out to various tourist stops, including some of the Virginia beaches. We're also camping at Triangle so we can drive up to Washington, DC and get on the blue line and do some touring there as well. After Washington, if time allows we're hoping to visit Erie, PA and then head home.

All this of course can only happen if $ allows.

We make sure we have money for vacations. It's something both our dads taught us to do.

It sounds like a good plan :D

Hello there stranger. ;)

Hope you and yours are keeping well.

Yes, we are doing well. Getting ready to ship the daughter to Argentina in the morning. Her graduation was Sunday, followed by the party. It's been a busy weekend. Actually it's been busy since May 1st, the first day of my job. I can honestly say this is the first time I've had more than an hour to sit and do nothing. Granted I could be washing dishes from yesterday's party.
