How does one get on the "Hall of Fame" within a story category?

Hopefully ya'll will consider this enough of a "how to" since I am wondering HOW to or "how I can" get a story on the Hall of Fame in a story category. I have a tale in Letters & Transcripts that has been well received. It has received enough votes that the number does count and shows up with the story. (4.71) The hall of fame goes 4.68 and down to 4.08. Mine isn't in that list, though.

Is this something that Lit only updates once in a while? (Thought about posting in Author's Hangout, too, but figured I'd try here first.)

You mean getting that little red H?

For that you need a score of at least 4.5 and also a certain amount of ratings (I think 5 or 10).

To be listed at the bottom of the category page, it seems to calculate both vote score and number of votes in the given time period into a combined number. In the "Last 30 Days" and "Last 12 Months" category, it already shows up. For the "all time" category (the one shown by default), you probably just need more votes. Or more time.

No, I do not mean the lil H. I have that. I'm asking about the Hall of Fame. Any and every category in Lit's stories has (in example) "new __Letters & Transcripts__", "random __Letters & Transcripts__", and "__Letters & Transcripts__ hall of fame". As I said, you can fill in the blank with every story category on the site.

You need at least 100 votes to make it into the HoF (I think - it may vary by category, but it's a lot more than you need for the vote to display). The top-25 list that shows at the bottom of a category page seems to update pretty frequently, and most of the top-250 pages do too, but at least one of the top-50s is buggy and hasn't updated in ages.

Er, not that I look for my own stories there or anything

I've heard from several people the Lesbian hall of fame is outdated.

The incest hall of fame is a mess as well. At one point there were a bunch of 4.82 stories behind the 4.81 and I have a story that belongs there (4.80 close to 3k votes) sometimes its there sometimes its not.

Wow. Didn't know the vote number was that high. Many of them (in the category I've previously mentioned) only had eight replies. Of course, that doesn't mean the number of votes was low...
