I'm a truck driver and often wonder how many ladies are tingling their way to work or home listening to saucy audio. Anyone know of good books to look for?

You really need to keep both hands on the wheel, dude...

Good advice indeed. I've never been quite so bold as that but it's pretty boring out there. Ya have to have stimuli to keep your mind sharp.:)

I listen to erotica daily, it's always on the iPod.

I wish there were more non normal audio, but that's coming along slowly. I finally found a 3 some involving shape shifting alpha males, not a great story, but the sex scenes are ok.

I have an "audible" account and have listened to a few. I haven't ventured into any fantasy series yet, maybe someday.

^^^No honey, that's not erratic driving; it's erotic driving.

I worked there for years, I have thousands of titles.

I'm listening to the Herotica series again, the hottest story is the one where she is pulled over by a highway patrolman who calls for a female backup and they both fuck her silly on the side of the road.

Been there, done that...

...you're not a drinker or a drug user (either illegal or legal), are you? I mean, you don't employ alcohol or drugs to relieve that boredom and/or to mistakenly "keep your mind sharp"? Even when you're not behind the wheel?

Just askin' 'cause a local family of 5 set-off before dawn one recent Sunday morn to travel to Grandma's house and spend the day...

...but before they'd even ventured 10 miles, a truck driver traveled across the line into their lane and the head-on impact killed 4 of the family and left the lone 12-year old survivor a quadriplegic for life.

The truck driver wasn't hardly physically injured at all...

...and he was starting his morning off early that Sunday, too, after taking 2 days off-duty at a local truck stop. Sadly, a significant part of that down-time included what the driver is now insisting is just "casual" drinking and all done off the logbook (yet you know that when you're a full-time driver, you must log your time 24-hours a day - even when off-duty).

As a truck driver, you know these same types of accidents are common on America's roadways; and you know that 80,000 lbs is nothing to be cavalier about - even being mentally stimulated by by something so seemingly innocent as audio erotica can take a needed piece of your mind off the responsibility-demanded job at hand...

...but if you drink or do any drugs - at any time - do everybody a supreme favor and take yourself off the road.

And, if you don't (drink or do drugs)...

...you'd best be insisting the great majority of your fellow drivers out there adhere to that sane advice, 'cause you guys already have a bad enough rep for the carnage those irresponsible maggots commit.

Sounds like my kind of story :). Herotica? not familiar with the term.

I honestly didn't know this kind of stuff is out there.

Off topic, but what would be really cool for me is to have old radio shows/plays on audio for me to listen to when traveling.

Its a whole series of erotica aimed at females.

Audible has those too, I have a few, but it isn't really interesting to me.

For some people, it's like a nostalgic romancing of the past. No TVs or computers back then to provide a visual. That kind of talent is a lost art.

Eyer, I'm sincerely sorry to hear about your neighbors terrible accident. I see questionable activity on the highways daily perpetrated by both big trucks and 4 wheelers and i won't hesitate for a second to call someone in for reckless behavior.
diligent safe operation is a habit developed from good practices.

Nope no alcohol or drugs, if anything it's coffee, vitamin water and on the rare occasion an energy drink.

Since you brought it up though, respect my safety margins on all sides and barring some freakish twist of fate it's most unlikely you'll be run over by a big truck. There's alot more of us that care out there than those who don't.

Seadaddy, On cirius or Xm radio they have a channel dedicated to the old radio shows.

Thanks. I need to look into it. Never done Cirius or XM radio. I'm so out of touch with that sort of thing, it's not even funny.

The cost isn't too bad if you have a decent commute to enjoy it They've done away with the playboy channel :(. I listen to the old radio show rarely but can see how people might enjoy it.

I didn't know them at all...

...and "accident"? Dude, it was friggin' vehicular manslaughter.

Yeah...I remember that us vs. them mentality...

...how else can you justify it being simply "some freakish twist of fate" when yet another innocent family is wiped-out by an irresponsible truck driver?

There's alot more of us that care out there than those who don't.

I call bullcrap...

...listen: I know there are professional drivers out there, but I totally disagree that they are in the majority.

Granting you among the professional, tell me:

What % of big truck drivers out on America's roads use alcohol?

How many of them use drugs at all, at any time(s)? How many of them employ stimulants to abet staying alert throughout such a boring job?

Are you actually claiming the majority of drivers don't use alcohol and/or drugs?

Or, that despite the majority of drivers who do drink alcohol and/or use drugs...

...they're "professional" about it?

Maybe it's just that our respective interpretations of "professional"...

...aren't at all alike.

Maybe you're just a fucking idiot that doesn't know what they're talking about. As usual.

It's Sirius, btw.

See? I learned something new from you today. It puts an erotic spin on it coming from a woman.

Anyone here know wtf Looney Tunes Eyer is talking about? It's like he's reading something from an alternate GB universe.

And here you go, Ezpickins...

...an alcoholic and druggie who fancies himself a "professional" truck driver.

See how deep the truth hits home?

(Although the wannabe also hasn't regaled us with any of his "professional" tales here lately...

...so maybe he's an ex-"professional" now.

Which would be outstanding news for every motorist living around him...)

Would that be the same universe where your lacking ego must proclaim to Iggy me...

...yet still reads every word I post, Johnny Bob?

It's like you believe everything you read and then some things that aren't really there.

Look friend, I am not here on Literotica to debate ANYTHING with ANYONE. This thread was focused on what someone might be listening to on their radio.
The FMCSA at this point still allows us to listen to a radio however i wouldn't be surprised if someone like yourself is lobbying for a rule on that too.
I thought I had offered an insight to how I conducted MYSELF in MY daily operations in answer to your post. I cannot speak as to what other operators do or don't do that wouldn't be visible to me out on the road.
