The douche Attorney General in VA, Ken Cuccinelli, even sent a letter to public universities there urging them to end any policies that ban discrimination based on sexual orientation.

Heh, that's kinda what I thought (in a sarcastic sort of way) when they passed the law that says you can't sell vibrators in Alabama. Nobody actually stopped selling them that I noticed. (I got a new one after the law was passed and it wasn't the least bit difficult.) People still sold all kinds of "prohibited" items openly, but now some politicians can point to their support of the bill when they campaign on a "family values" platform.

Glad I don't live in Virginia. I couldn't even deny it with a straight face.
 
It is not legal. The governor of NC admitted that they are passing these laws knowing that they are unconstitutional.

Anything to cause division and distract the electorate from issues of class.

Actually, oral cancer has been linked to oral-genital contact. Our ancestors were a lot wiser than you think. They had thousands of years to discover what's healthy and what isn't. Science is proving them right after all.

As for anal sodomy, that's simply abnormal and gay. Never done it, don't intend to when there's a perfectly good hole right next door. Its also a great vector for spreading STD's.

They are trying to revive it specifically to put charge someone with the crimes against nature because of oral solicitation.

I think it's unconstitutional because it violates the Equal Protection clause. The thing is before the SCOTUS can even consider striking down such laws a relevant case has to be pushed up through the Virginia appeals courts and through the Virginia SC.

And if you learn someday that penis-in-vagina sex is a great method for transmitting STDs, then what? Are you going to be against that too?
