Yes very true, though I do not actually spend that much money, being only a uk size 7 or 8 depending on the brand shoe, many of my pairs I have picked up in sales for between £5 and £10.

The same with clothes, I am a size uk 14 so just hit the sale rails, and end of season stuff, rarely paying more than £20 on anything. I did recently pick up a frock in Debenhams reduced from nearly £300 to £25 on a clearance last day of sale .

Stockings and holdups I buy new from charity shops still in packaging for 50p a pair, I just normally buy all they have on display, ten pairs for a fiver, cannot be complained at.

Corsets I often buy online from corsetsuk as quality is good and I know their sizing, these I buy for me as a performer so can deduct against tax, and I like to think that in a small way the IRS is making me look fab
