I've started submitting some of my work over in the Illustrations but this is a photo and probably not acceptable. I thought some here might enjoy it.

I suspect it is acceptable, if it is a photo of your sculpt.

cool.

The piece is mine. I do small sculptures for various purposes and this started as an anatomy exercise for hands. The torso is a frame and gives context to their pose. The tentacles are because, "hey, why not". After I finished I thought it was a pretty suitable shape for my first casting attempt. It was made using a silicon mold and two part epoxy casting material. Finished it in antique silver which I like but can never get a client to use. And that's the story of how a project runs amuck.

I like the sculpture. :) Do you usually create figurative works? I sometimes spend hours sketching hands, -noses, what have you- so understand how one simple body part study can get out of hand. :) (please pardon the pun) ;) Would love to see more of your pieces!

Almost everything I sculpt is figurative but not generally erotic. Most of them are wedding cake toppers and while a sexual theme is appropriate to a hand fasting ceremony it isn't generally acceptable. lol. Hands are always an issue for me. So easy to make them awkward or out of scale. Center of mass/center of gravity is another area that can create problems for me.

Attached is a mixed media piece of sculpture and graphic design. I was a voracious reader of paper back sci-fi and fantasy growing up. This is what my books generally looked like after the 6th or 10th reading. It's the combination of one of my drawings and sculpted clay core and some creative writing. And that's about it for my erotic sculptures.

Honestly, the hand grasping her breast is my favorite part of your torso with tentacles. The gesture is expressive and the fingers are beautifully sculpted. I've been to a hand fasting where a sexual cake topper would have been appreciated *grin*- but i do see your point. :)

For the second piece what did you sculpt it out of? i like the unreality of it, but am quite curious about the sculpture. I grew up on Bradbury (and got to meet him!), Heinlein, Tolkien, Tepper, King, Le Guin, and just about every other interesting sic fi or speculative literature author i could get my paws on so I understand. :rose:

I'm working (rather slowly) on this piece http://cocobijoulala.tumblr.com/tagged/painted they are paper clay and there are elements that are polymer clay as well.

What is your favorite sculpting material? least? why? I'm eager to see more of your work. :)

The hand is definitely the center of the piece. I'm very satisfied with how it came out and you know how that can be. Your piece from paper clay is quite interesting. Are there more views? My attempts with paper clay look like mashed potatoes. Perhaps more practice, lol? Terra cotta is my favorite but most of my stuff is done in polymer clay. The core of the book is polymer mostly because that's what was available. Lots of your author names sounded veeeery familiar. A trip through the old paper backs may be in order. Unfortunately, no more erotic sculpture at the moment but looking at your tumblr page you might like this http://www.literotica.com/i/joyous .
