Will Republican rage cost them the 2016 election, too?

You're a Republican. You just lost the 2012 election to a man many on your side have compared to Hitler. What's your next move?

A: Re-evaluate your core values, your party's values, look towards 2016 and start working on the changes you must make to have a chance at winning POTUS, or...

B: Convince everyone on the planet that anyone who doesn't hate Obama is un-American, focus all your energy on proving Obama is the antichrist, and generally become an amped-up caricature of the same group mentality most Americans voted against.

Clearly, the choice is B so far. How's that gonna work for them? Guesses?

At least when Democrats spent time hating on Dubya 2000-2008, they were also busy grooming the next prez...

I see your threads are really getting a lot of responses these days. It looks like even your own alts are too bored to respond to you.

It's quite possible. But remember despite being racist, sexist, elitist, union busting, women hating, minority insulting, gay bashing dumbasses they still managed 47% of the vote. That's scary.

I've never seen or read about a political party that is saying to a large number of Americans "We don't want your vote."

Yea if the GOP doesn't stop with anti anything but upper middle class evangelical christian male, they are fucked.

Madam President Clinton .......... Get used to it

She already had that job, and except for the military getting put through and African meat grinder for no other reason than a DC douchefag debacle and the brady bill she did a pretty good job.

She likes the cushy positions without her neck being on a chopping block the size POTUS has to lay his/her head on. I think she has seen enough to know better than to put herself in the puppet's chair and carry all the responsibility, she's too smart to go for POTUS.

Ah, I see the alts showed up on cue, some of them are even out of character. Pretty weak.

You think I'm a Rory alt? SERIOUSLY? God damn grandpa you need to go take your meds...

You managed to piss the left and right off. I have no idea how you can be anybody's alt.

I see Christy as a force to be reckoned with both the Dem and Pubs have to keep an eye on him. so far he has told both sides if something he does offends their phoney asses to go fuck themselves.

Hillary don't have the charisma bill had, I just don't feel it is gonna happen.

The Republicans don't want the vote.

The Democrats will buy a vote [with taxpayer money; smart!].

Totally different approach, indeed.

The Republicans don't want the vote.

I don't know what votes you think they "don't want," but I know they don't want mine.

The minute they fell for their enemies telling them they need to re-make themselves as a second far left party (thanks, we already have one in this country), they forever lost any support from me. As a fallen away socially conservative ex-Democrat my heart was never really with their party anyway. The Constitution Party or another third party will get my support (including campaign donations) from now on.

More interresting question is whether Republican rage will win them the midterms again, or if the Democrats have learned something.

*chuckle*

One of the angriest racists on this board posits this look into the mirror...

lol

I bitched about Bush for six years, and through all that time the Republicans on this board never trashed me the way the Democrats do now that "their guy" is "in charge."

They were angry when Bush was President, but they seem even more angry now that Obama is President.

Maybe it's just disappointment.

Maybe, it's who they really are and have been all along.

Yes. It is hard to defeat Santa, unless he fails to deliver.

It took a while for the Post Office to fall apart, but if you look at places like Detroit and California, you can easily see that the government philosophy that was in charge of such polity is sure to follow suit...

When Romney ran on a platform of making rich people and corporations a whole lot richer how was that not buying their vote, hypocrites?

Chris Christie is the only electable Republican at the moment so the GOP decided he shouldn't be supported. The modern-day Republican party is immediately suspicous of anyone that appeals to moderates or mainstream Americans of any political leaning.

The Republican Party will not re-evaluate its values or engage in any self-reflection whatsoever. That's not who they are. And any Republican who engages in even a little bit of reflection is demonized as a RINO and blacklisted as a possible target to be removed in the next primary.

Does anyone actually think the GOP really believes their own words when it comes to immigration? Of course not, it's just a naked political move where they're trying to trick America into thinking the GOP believes something that it doesn't.

Yes, Comrade Mercury14. Romney's plot to make people richer by promoting capitalism, hard work, innovation, and personal responsibility was clearly obscene.

Fortunately, that kind of non-government-driven thinking was thwarted.
