Happy Valentine's Day.

First Loving Wives story posted, bombed as expected but you know the LW trolls

LOL when I got out of the Navy and decided to go back to school my dad offered for me to move back in. I reminded him about the clashes before I left to boot and it was very quickly agreed that perhaps me moving back in would have been a very bad idea indeed. :D

We are pretty lucky, we don't clash much in this house as far as kids/parents go. She just misses staying up as late as she wants. Moving back home she now shares a room with her sister, which means sister is in bed by 11pm because she's got school the next day. Also she doesn't really have a curfew, none of them do, but again I don't like having my house unlocked or anyone living in my house wandering about so I ask she be home by 1 or 2 am, and let me know when she's home. That's about it, nothing major. Oh, and she pretty much knows if she's home she goes to church service and family get-togethers, if I go. lol

Good luck with that RED. I just had to submit the newest twice - it wouldn't let me go back and change it and insisted I had submitted it.

~sigh~

Back later

Odd, hopefully it all works out. I'm >< this close to finishing Mercy. I may get it done today, we'll see. Moving along slow and steady has always paid off for me, so no rushing here.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. :rose:

We're not doing anything today, unless you count the spouse meeting with a state health person to talk to her about getting financial aid to help offset the cost of hearing aids, or my trip to the optometrist's, this afternoon, to pick up the son's new glasses. I know -- fun and romantic times.

:D In truth, we may go see a movie tomorrow night, it'll all depend on what time he gets home from work. I have a free movie pass, so going to an evening movie will be alright, usually we do matinees. I'm tossing around the new Die Hard movie, or the comedy Identity Thief.

If anyone is interested Redbox has two codes out today for free DVD rentals, HEART and SWEET.

For the most part my Dad and I got along, it was just knowing that if I lived in his home that I'd be subject to his rules and after 6 years of being in the military there was no way I'd take to dealing with his rules again.

Oh, very nice, thanks!! I'll see if they work for me today. :D

I can completely understand where you're coming from. It would be very hard to live under your parents roof after such a long time of freedom. In the daughter's case, also, is the fact she was home every other weekend, so she never had a long time away to make her own "rules". I think she misses the ability to come and go, without knowing someone is at home wondering where she is, that and the privacy of just having your own space.

Today's plans are altered slightly. The son's glasses came in, so a trip to pick them up, as well as maybe a trip to the Embroidery store, where daughter #2's letter jacket is in, but not ready to pick up. She needs to try it on as well as get all the patches sewed in place.

We, too, are not doing a thing. Why? Because we never do. Never exchange gifts, cards, etc, because we do it during the year, for no reasons.

Now tomorrow, I'll be loading up on discounted Valentine's Day candy.

My daughters are making gifts for their boyfriends. Candy bar boxes, full of candy bars, and other things. One daughter put in beef sticks and beef jerky in hers. The other daughter is going to buy a pineapple and use my heart shape cookie cutter, and create heart shaped pineapple slices. :D

Ah, young love. We were like that once.

So I just spent my BDay money on a mani/pedi! I have glitter and hearts on my nails. It was not my choice but the girl was so excited it was my BDay.

I feel pretty! Oh so pretty and witty and bright!

Well HEART didn't work for me but SWEET worked so we picked up a movie for tonight, her choice was Taken 2. Interesting for Valentines Day but hey I am not complaining!

Baking a cake after I look a glance at cake prices and nearly passed out  Scary how they can justify those charges.

LW is living up to it's reputation but that's ok the story was meant to rile them up a bit and it was fun to write :D

It is crazy what folks charge, but after making a 3 tier wedding cake last year --- I understand why they do it. I made my niece's wedding cake for free and I won't do that again. When the other niece gets married, I have offered to put $150.00 toward her cake, so I don't have to make the damn thing!

I miss Carvelle ice cream shop. Fudgy the Whale, CookiePuss....
CookiePuss

Hey it's Friday!

Kiddo has 1/2 day today. His gift to me is to take me to thd new Kids movie out today. I don't even know the name.

My kids do as well.

That doesn't look appetizing at all. Yuck.

What's not to like? Ice cream, cake, more frosting than you can imagine.
