Ack, I almost started a long ranting thread but decided otherwise.

Anyway, this is a very cool video displaying, once again, the incredible intelligence of dolphins and the kind of bond that should exist between our species. The de-tangling starts after about 3:30 but the whole video is worth watching.

Dammit, my knee is still sore after several days of rest. Icing it doesn't seem to make a whit of difference. The fact that the pain is nearly identical to what I felt leading up to having it surgically repaired ten years ago is not encouraging.

Oh yeah, it would be intense. And what many people forget is that dolphins are BIG strong animals that could very easily, unintentionally, seriously injure or kill a human. Just shows the level of trust going on there.

I just got curious and did some checking that led to an astounding discovery: we have one regular here who holds an untouchable record for most posts in a single thread in the BDSM Forum.

I went to my first ever hockey game today, because J got tickets. It was even less interesting than I had assumed it would be. A guy sitting behind us commented everything throughout the game, so much so that I actually didn't watch the game and could concentrate on people watching instead. My OCD side was very annoyed at the fans' chants, which half of the time didn't rhyme properly. The mascot had a very scary face and the cheerleaders didn't do any pyramids.

All in all, a bit of a let down, but at least J bought me a pretzel.

Also, kiss cam is not something that only exists in movies. Highly humiliating for both of us.

OI. I have had way better weekends. So on Sunday, ddh and I had plans. We were going to walk downtown, have coffee, and then watch the football games at our fave spot and walk back. Since I needed to shower and fix my hair, ddh kindly offered to walk the dog.

He slipped on some ice (from the crazy thawing weather of the days prior) that was covered by snow and therefore invisible. He'd heard a loud crack. Fortunately he was pretty close to home and many neighbors have retaining walls so he hobbled home.

I drove him to the hospital where we confirmed that his ankle was not only broken it was BROKEN. The lateral bone (small one) was broken, the tibia is fractured and chipped. As luck would have it, they were willing to do the surgery that day (we hadn't had our breakfast yet) and due to his strength and willpower he was released post surgery.

So... we didn't get home til around well... 6 p.m., I had to run to the 24 hour pharmacy for pain pills. I must confess we dined on Subway that night. I am completely wrung out...

I have-- I was struck by the paucity of vocabulary and dearth of associative imagination of most of the respondents.

When we are talking about sex, of course, there is no room for intellectual bias. And a lot of sexual buzzwords are very common, and very potent for all that. But it seems such a shame that people don't explore their own interior backyards.

Wowzers! Shank's thread is another I rarely read. I'm squeamish about piercings and such, so it's best I avoid.

I love me some Shank, too, and I'm also constitutionally incapable of seeing piercings without shuddering. Still, he posts so many gorgeous images that I wander back there periodically, scrolling quickly past anything that looks like it has been unnaturally punctured.
