the regular kindle, you can read anywhere. but it's limited to books and word type games.

I have no issue reading on the fire + bonus stuff like web browsing, android apps, video, Netflix, hulu, etc

Hmm, thanks. I'll look into it. I don't like things like that myself, because I only like actual paper books.

I've heard that the Kindle Paperwhite is really good and at $120 is priced fairly.

I bought a nook because of my preference for Barnes & Noble.

I don't really like it. It beats carrying around a 900 page copy "Of Human Bondage" though.

You can browse the internet on the regular kindle too, although the interface is total crap.

I'm so old, I remember when people used computers to do computery stuff.

In the near future, people will surf the web whatever objects they find around them, like furniture and hot dogs.
