I suppose I've had a fascination with this since I was very young: spider women, arachne, driders.

They capture men in their webs and slowly wrap them up in their webbing to consume later. The process of wrapping them in silk is so slow and almost tender. She makes sounds that make it very clear that hunting and wrapping men is a deeply erotic experience for her and, surprisingly enough, for her prey.

She leaves her male prey hanging motionless in her web for several hours before returning to devour them.

In the end, she allows them to choose: be her next meal or walk away unharmed- without ever knowing the pleasure of her bite and the warmth of her limbs encasing you and draining you of your life. And every time, they say yes. It must be something in her voice.

Am I the only one who fetishizes this sort of thing?

I am also freaked the fuck out by spiders, and what's more, I'm usually not big on anthropomorphized animals in sexual settings, but the intersection of spider and woman is oddly kinda hot. Probably mostly because putting a penis into any of a spider's orifices would require a staggering amount of trust and makes me nervous just thinking about it.

Spiders are so cute! I almost did a Halloween story about a spidergirl, but it didn't end up going anywhere. I'm not into the whole "being eaten" aspect of it that you mentioned, but I'd definitely be up for a cuter relationship with a spidergirl. Have you ever heard of the manga "Daily Life with Monster Girl?" No spidergirl yet, but there's a lamia, harpy, and centaur last time I saw an update.

I have yet to meet a woman who finds this as interesting as I do. The predator and prey concept isn't an easy sell.

The predator and prey thing is hot.

It's the spider aspect that grosses me out! I can't bring myself to kill a spider, but I fling them outside with frightening speed and torque.

Why spiders? Why not scorpions, or octopi, or dragons? It's because of that damn anthropomorphized spider, Charlotte, wasn't it? She's why I can't squish em, either!

A half woman half python would be nice. She could wrap herself around me and squeeze.

Thank you for that link.

It has given me an idea for a story but, unfortunately, that story won't fit the Valentine's Day contest.

But at least I'm writing, and a Lamia features. Perhaps a Spider Woman might be next.

You're welcome! I can't wait to read the story. I don't know why I find lamiae so attractive... Maybe it's the thought of having this powerful, long body wrapped entirely around you. I've had large snakes on me before, and their bodies just feel so smooth and muscular... Perhaps I ought to write a lamia story, too...

Caroline's Lamia

I have just hit 'submit' on the story inspired by this thread.

It is "Caroline's Lamia" and should be available in a week or so.

You're not alone my friend, half woman-half spider is really attractive I think. The air of danger, menace, in addition to the possible curves and lines, the predatory air, and yet there's some delicate elements. Just remember you're not alone.

It's not something I've ever fantasized about seriously. But I've seen plenty of art featuring this idea that I've found to be extremely hot.

I don't know... I think the prickly bits would turn me off. The fangs... hard tips of the legs... back end of the abdomen...

I have a Lit predator and prey story: The Giant Squid.

I wrote as a satire on the tentacle sex stories.

If I wrote another story called Caroline's Spider Woman, would anyone be interested in reading it?

I have written over 3,000 words of the spider-woman story, and only just introduced her...

The Spider-Woman story is finished and I've just hit the'submit' button. It is three Lit pages long - about 9,000 words.

Watch this space for the announcement when it is posted.

I definately feel the same, in fact I've written a couple of those stories myself!
