Just got home and now I am wondering what time I will have to try to force sleep *sigh*

Covering the desk for my boss....

*hugs an rubs shoulders*

Doing: being awake after very little sleep and thinking about the moral failings of comic book heroes.

Maybe not moral... but how many people have to get killed before Batman puts a round in the Jokers head?

I know, weird thoughts..

*turns to pull a Wenchlette into my lap*

Ya know I wonder that crap ALL the time.

Why don't heroes make sure that the super villains can NEVER cause trouble again...instead of setting it up so that the villain comes back...7 issues later??

It really comes out in a movie called "Superman Vs. The Elites."

A group of four heroes lead by a british guy named Manchester Black bring that question to the front of the line.

The movie has to end up making them look like bad guys by the end.. but they do make a very valid point.

p.s. It is on Netflix.

Because....

If they did, there wouldn't be a reason to write more? It would be end of story.. lalala happily ever after sort of thing.

Besides, evil is never ever truly gone. It's a necessity.

I watched that. its actually a response (especially the bit of "how does it feel to be deconstructed") to comics like The Authority.

Really? they are published by the same company under a different name and I L:heart:VE the Authority.

"I feel like punching someones brains out." J.Hawksmore.

Marvel doesn't have that problem, or didn't.

But I hardly read Marvel either..

Originally, when it was written by Warren Ellis, the Authority was published by Wildstorm (I THINK before they were bought by DC, but I'm not sure). The Elite take on it is a little shallow, though. The Authority didn't kill without thought. They planned. They understood that, if they overthrew a dictator, something had to be done to follow up. Etc.

Marvel doesn't have that problem because Marvel, more than DC, is constantly bringing characters back from the dead.

Up untill their return.

Captain Marvel and Uncle Ben stayed dead.. I was happy with that.

Then yea, they both came back!

Mind you, the Ultimate version of Marvel looks pretty cool.

Yeah..two people were supposed to stay dead forever...
Bucky and Uncle Ben.
I didn't know Ben came back, but I knew Bucky was now Winter Soldier.

the Ultimate line was really good (except for Fantastic Four...they never seemed to figure out what to do with that) for the first few years when i was reading it. No idea how it is now.

Titles I read now are

Gold Digger's by Fred Perry.
Empowered by Adam Warren.
and Girl Genius by Phil an Kaja Foglio.

They all have one thing in common.. set authors.. no switch up, no continnuity screw ups..

I'm currently re-reading Powers, thinking I might do an SRP in that world...and I've got a few things on my desk...the new Wonder Woman 52 run, Saga, and Rent Girl.

I also just read 'The Last Iron Fist Story', which was REALLY good. Here's my favorite page

I was never sure if those two were an item. I am glad to see they are. :D

Actually, I don't think they are. Misty is, for whatever reason, with Danny...kinda..sorta...sometimes.

Regardless, its a really funny bit...the entire story has some great funny moments...
"Say 'Hail Hydra' one more time! Say it one more time!"

I love writing like that.
I do enjoy Deadpool for that reason..

I am going to get my hair done. I want to look pretty for Christmas pictures. Right now I look scary. Then, I will write lots and lots.
