Well, not outdoors in the backwoods sense, Alex. But definitely for evenings out at special restaurants in Manhattan, the Metropolitan Opera, etc. Not for walking long distances though.

Everyone who posts frequently on my thread and compliments my photos and specially my writing is a friend which is why I called you that.

Your recollection of fashion history is much sharper than mine, Hamster. This pair was probably a few years old by then but they were one of my favorites. I bought them from a chi-chi shoe boutique in Manhattan, Susan Bennis/Warren Edwards and they were extraordinarily well made. I liked how they made my legs look and even topping 6' wearing them I was still more than 4" shorter than my photographer. Poor fashion sense, maybe, but not a fault I dwelt on.

As to complaints, my experience is that no one listens anyway. So why bother?

You're much more optimistic than I. Age brings an inevitable loss of muscle tone, elasticity to tendons, etc, that no amount of exercise can forestall. We'll see.

I was just studying these pictures once again. One hand was on the mouse the other was on my...well you know..:D. but the blood was flowing to places.
I suspect the shoes are long gone and if the knees dont bend that far, so be it. You have continued to remain fit and get sexier with time

Thanks, Len. My chronic problem is finding time to tend to all my Lit obligations, specially because I've not yet caught up with all the replies to the messages that arrived during my recent absence. Please be as understanding as you've been in the past.

It's nice to know that my photos are being put to such good use, kdb. I hope you didn't spill anything on your mouse, keyboard, etc.

Gone, but replaced. I still manage to teeter around on sidewalks in NY, SF, most recently Chicago. No reason to wear them out here in fly-over country since we can dress in jeans for the best restaurant in town.

I've never understood the media fasination with people dressing for dinner at a fancy restaurant. Unless a coat and/or tie is required, I've never worn a suit to dinner.
