Some say that the Bible is nothing more than fairy tales. But this cannot be for it contains great wisdom and truth and it has been verified throughout history as being accurate. Its historical accounts are flawlessly accurate. In fact, archaeology routinely demonstrates the accuracy of the biblical records concerning locations and events recorded in the Bible.

Look, most great fairy tales contain 'great wisdom and truth'. This is what makes them popular. We can relate to them and take something from the story that is real and relevant to our lives. And of course there will be historically accurate parts of the Bible - but it doesn't make the book completely factual.

There is a lot of wisdom in the bible, as in other philosophical writings.
But the bible does not consist of pure philosophical ideas alone.
Some historical facts in the bible are facts, other seemingly historical things are just wishful thinking and not flawlessly accurate at all.

Since God is an invention of Mankind to deal with our mortality and the concept of infinity, and not an actual entity, then yes - in that sense I would have to agree with you. It must be because I am feeling so Christmassy.

Yet, some chose to continue fluffing the world gladly...

It is written that when the Messiah was led into temptation with Lucifer...

...he did not try to save him, he did not debate him.

All he did to vanquish evil was simply quote the Word.

The only sin which cannot be forgiven is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit...

...and if one actually says s/he believes the Holy Spirit inspired others to write the Word, why in Hades would that same person also choose to argue with natural men about it, natural men who the Word says can never understand?

So sad to see those foolishly trying to "save" the world...

...actually misleading themselves by their own unbelief.

God is all knowing. I am not. I don't know the true condition of a man's heart. Many who speak against Him come to know Him in the end. For me this works perfect. I keep trying. It's not over until this fat lady sings. LOL.

Try a sports bra from Wal-mart. I love them. They squish em flat a little bit but there are no wires or binding around the chest. They aren't expensive either.

I have gone back and read some of your posts in stating your faith. I will say, it is hard (as you mentioned...and I know as well), to be a Christian in this world today. This board is a very good example of this.

I will just offer this TO YOU as you believe as I do. God speaks clearly that not all will believe. It is that understanding that helps me when the questions, insults, etc, are leveled at me. As you said, God knows all...we do not. We have our assurance of being saved by Grace through Faith. We have the peace that comes with that. Those who do not believe do not have that and probably do not like it that we do. There is that peace that surpasses ALL understanding.

As you know, this is not an arrogant statement....not prideful....not anything other than knowing how utterly lost and helpless we were, but through the Grace of God and His love for us .......because He sent His precious Son to be born by a virgin who loved God with all of her heart...and because that Son gave his life for you and me and rose again defying death.....THAT is truly what matters. Had nothing to do with us being good....doing enough....or working our way there.....it was a gift. In this beautiful Christmas season, that one Gift is better than anything anyone could ever give or receive.

I say all this to you as I know you are probably feeling the "attack" that happens here. I would suggest just be in prayer. Jesus spent His time with those who did not believe. One never knows in something you say, or something I say might spark an interest in their heart to learn who God is. There are many people who read and never post. It is those people who possibly are truly searching and have the open hearts where your words may matter.

Know that with all the "ugly" that will surely come your way and mine for standing up for what we believe in, God says this persecution will surely come. Stand firm in the faith and know that you have someone else here who is doing that as well!
