Hrrmmmm... build a small temporary wigwam inside the room with the beautiful fireplace and live out of that during the winter... it should stay nice and toasty. Who cares about the outside world(as long as you have internet so you can post the pics)!
Lots of animal furs (synthetic if you're PETA friendly) piled atop a bed... that could make for some fun sexy photo shoots
