The following is post # 1076 on the a.i.r. contest support thread. He also posted exactly the same thing in posts #1001, 1004, 1008, 1010, 1012, 1015, 1022, 1024, 1026, 1030, 1034, 1044, 1046, 1051, 1055, 1061, 1065,1068, 1075 and now 1076. The same post EIGHT times on the first page. FIVE on the next page! SIX on the third page! Now we’ve started the fourth page – this is the FIRST one on it (more to come). The same post 20 times. He's now up to 233 times posting the same thing (unless I’ve missed a few). Mind you this isn't a record for him.

A big bump at night, for general principles and to say my second story was just posted. It took about 32 hours from the time I submitted it. I'm glad it was, because we came close to not having a story about Pauletta in the contest.

I just don't want to overwhelm the thread with a lot of statistics. However if they are appreciated I'll continue to do them.
@whoever: It isn't intended to skew voting. Let me give you a tip ... my own story is currently 4th last. I doubt anything I do will make it first. Except maybe learn to write better next time. And, writing is a skill, right? You got it, or you ain't.

On my submission page it says my story is approved. I have some 7 votes and 372 reads. It's not on the story page yet and not on the Lit contest page either. Just wondering who could have read it and voted. Will probably be on the story page later. Just kind of weird.

The average number of pages is 3.0, with the longest story being 15 pages.
So far there have been a total of 22,908 votes, 2,527,247 views, 856 favorites and 901 comments.
The standard deviation of scores (from the average of 4.09) is 0.46 and the standard deviation of votes (from the average of 170) is 188. The median score is 4.14, the median number of votes is 96 and the median number of pages is 2. The top 25% of scores are 4.43 or above and the bottom 25% of scores are 3.80 or below.
Sweeps
Some votes have been reduced (swept) since the start of the competition. A total of 25 stories have had their votes adjusted, with 23 sweeps resulting in a new score that day which is higher than before and 5 sweeps resulting in a new score that day which is lower. When we were in the Nude Day contest, I totally thought that I hadn't gotten any votes swept at all, and then another Literotican showed me a breakdown that had me high in the lead of overall number of votes swept. Consequently, I'm trying to watch this one more carefully.

I'll amend that heading for tomorrow to make it clearer.
My story has been getting swept fairly regularly over the last couple of days. I haven't been keeping track of exact numbers, but I have to think it's been more than the 6 shown for the whole category. In fact, I think I was up to 47 votes at one point and right now I'm down to 41.
Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Today's sweep raised my score by .1!
