I have the book. Was given it as a pressie.
But it is SO BADLY WRITTEN, I just can't bring myself to read very far in
And frankly, most of my reading is done on planes or in waiting rooms - and I'd be ashamed to be seen reading such a badly written book!

BANDIT:heart: won't have the book for the reason you made about it being poorly written yet I'm told it is very popular in nursing homes.

I think even the marketing was awful. I believe that possibly it had more to do with people having low expectations.
And the smut, of course.

How are you this fine evening?
I've been fighting a migraine all day and am slightly drugged up at the moment. Mid-cycle migraine :( Bring on menopause!

Oops! Fell asleep. I apologise!

Sorry you have a migraine. Horrible things! I get the ones with no pain but with wierd patterns so i can't see a thing. Like the top of castles usually with whole sections smudged. Get the pain too, on rare occassions. Recovering from the drugs is a bugger. Sleep a lot, don't make sense.

I am so ready for menopause! Bring it on, I say!!!

Have had a brilliant day. Enjoyed the sun. Continued with my mission to poison my weeds and kikuyu (rotten stuff in a backyard) and bought some Baileys that I sipped on ice in the sun. which is why i fell asleep.......

Has Julius returned or has he flown to further horizons?

Captive audience???? :D

And why would Bandit need such a book, when you guys can write your own??????? ;):D

I'm in perimenopause atm.
My migraines are triggered by my hormones... and the doc tells me there's a good chance that once I go through menopause, the migraines will stop too.
I use a pill to stop my cycle (I only have 4 menses a year) to try and cut down the frequency of the headaches. It works well. But I have to allow my body those 4 periods - which means 4 times a year, I am in a drugged-up hell :(

I'm glad bandit found something that works for her! So many women don't.

Thanks for the lovely welcome guys. :)

WarriorQueen, I go through phases of what I will experiment with cooking wise. Right now I am going through a real baking stage, and my meals have become dull. I love just throwing ingredients together, my bolognaise sauce changes every time I do it. I can't remember the last interesting and new dinner I made, though hubby is thoroughly enjoying my attempts at perfecting a flourless chocolate cake, and is very much looking forward to his birthday white chocolate cheesecake next week. :)

Arianthe; Thank you. :) And no, I'm not in WA, sorry.

I went through a baking phase a few years ago.
This year, I am determined to perfect the dreaded risotto!
It's the devil-dish of my nightmares :(

Medium heat, steady supply of already hot stock and keep stirring an stirring.

Stop when the rice has just a little bite to it

BANDIT:heart: is at the gym so had to get my own dinner again & managed to boil the water to make a cuppa & enjoying my Salmon sandwich too.

I've had a very busy day today, so dinner will be simple. Schnitzel and salad, followed by homemade rockmelon sorbet.

I/we have had a shit of a day as I have an infection in my fistula & spent a lot of time at the hospital getting goodies to fight the infection but if it gets worse I have to get to emergency ASAP & get put on IV antibotics, fingers crossed that won't be needed as we caught it early.

As for my dinner I think yours sounds so much nicer.

Here's hoping you got it early enough!

You seem to have gone through the wars a bit this year.

My dinner was lovely.... But I do  salmon! Lucky you :)

I have blood tests on Monday also. Need a platelet count done.
Plus I have to get this stupid thumb checked - I'm certain it's not supposed to look like it does!

Good luck with yours

Good morning aussies!

Woken up to an absolutely perfect day here - the sun is shining, there's almost no wind, and there is no noise apart from the birds.
It's going to rain this afternoon, but that's ok coz it will coincide with th V8's and I'll be inside anyway :)

Just had a morning call from my man.... he's missing me
It's going to be a long few months yet!
Very sweet to get a call though.... for a tough guy, he's actually a big softie!

Right - time for me to get hot and wet (as in shower! Get your minds out of the gutter!), and then a quick trip down to town to stock up on bourbon for the race :D

Ciao
