Umlauts on Lit?

I've got Word 2008 for Mac. Anyone know how to get umlauts?

Also, will I have to do anything to make sure they appear on a Lit post/page when I enter it?

Turns out my (hopeful) contest entry involves at least one retro-Goth band...

Not sure how to get umlauts, but I would think when you do get them, if you cut and paste the text on the submission page, they will come through. I've never used umlauts, but I've had no problems with accent marks.

I don't have Word 2008, but you should find umlaut characters under Insert/Symbols of a Word program.
