The question wasn't about a tape. It was about Romney's bogus claim that Obama didnt refer to the attack as an act of terror for 14 days. Crowley didn't back off that in the link you posted.

Romney's actual words: "I want to make sure we get that for the record, because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror."


This statement is false. No amount of spin or blaming Crowley makes it any more true.

Romney brought up F&F to score a political point. He was promptly ignored for it. Not only that, but he was disorganized and hesitant on F&F. The topic if I recall was "how would you as president act to help reduce gun violence in America". Talking about guns for thugs in Mexico isn't on topic at all.

Maybe you got your links screwed up? That one doesn't have Crowley backing off anything at all regarding Mitt's 14 days comment. If you insist it's in there, quote it.

Mexican drug lords have nothing at all to do with violence in America as a social problem. If you had a time machine and went back and canceled F&F, the problem of violence in America wouldn't be impacted at all.
 
Okay - so let's pretend Obama said it was an "act of terror." That doesn't excuse the colossal cluster fuck and coverup by the administration. They dropped the ball and there is no way around it.

Let's say everything you just posted is true. It still doesn't alter the fact that Romeny's claim was bogus and he was rightfully called on it by both Obama and the moderator.

Even though it's there in black and white from Obama's comments on both the 12th and 13th, Miles feels the need to "pretend it's there".
