KENNEBUNK, Maine — This upscale southern Maine town is known for its ocean beaches, old sea captains' mansions and the neighboring town of Kennebunkport, home to the Bush family summer compound.

But the talk of the town these days is the arrest of a local fitness instructor who's been charged with running a prostitution business out of her Zumba dance studio and secretly videotaping her encounters. Now the town is on the edge of its seat, waiting for the revelation of which of their friends and neighbors are among her more than 100 alleged johns.

Zumba Instructor Denies Using Her Gym for Prostitution​

A Zumba instructor in the seaside resort town of Kennebunk, Maine, is fighting charges that she used her workout studio as a brothel and her alleged client list includes area mayors, a lawyer involved in the case said.

Alexis Wright, 29, and her friend and former business partner, Mark Strong, 57, both pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of prostitution and promoting prostitution, respectively.

More seriously, though, I saw this story earlier today and it looks like the defense will be that they were making movies, not turning tricks. That actually could have a chance of beating the prostitution rap, but it leaves tax evasion and, I suppose, probably a zoning violation.

The interest in this is not the turning of tricks.
The interest is in the "Johns List" which is due out soon, as soon as the investigation uncovers their true identities. ( and the police find out which will offer what to have their name 'disappeared'.

This is were we find out who is connected to whom.

Kennebunk, Maine awaits release of ‘Zumba brothel’ client list

Local resident Kim Ackley said that she hoped the names would be released soon, so people could move on with their lives.

“The list will be released eventually. They’re just doing everything they can to stall it,” she said. “Everybody is really ready to see who’s on the list.”

KENNEBUNK, Maine — Paul Main's quiet evening was shattered by a phone ringing off the hook and a half-dozen TV crews showing up on his porch. Everyone wanted to know: Was he the same Paul Main who's been accused of visiting a prostitute in Kennebunk?

The answer was no. But a decision to release the names of alleged prostitution clients without any ages or addresses has caused big problems for men who have the same names as the accused.

If I were the Paul Main who was not accused of visiting a prostitute, I would have my lawyer visit the District Attorney, before filing a lawsuit for BIG BUCKS!

A little early for that and not as simple as that. Someone would have to falsely accuse him in the public forum as being that Paul Main (and he'd have to establish that he wasn't--more than just a verbal denial).
