Happy Halloween!

Love the pumpkins! They'd be great for a play party around Whore-oween.

As for slutty costume ideas, io9 published this article (with lots of pics!) called Sluttiest and weirdest store-bought-halloween costumes for 2012, but to be honest, there are a lot more *weird* costumes than slutty ones. <Sigh> I *like* slutty costumes. (Clarification: On wimmen, not for me.)

The only ones I like as "slutty" are the Spiderwoman in pic set three (counting the above-the-headline set); Ms. Captain America and the two ladies either side of her in the sixth set; the young ladies on the ends in the eighth set; Batwoman (third and fourth from left) in the tenth set; pretty much all of them in the Batgirl and Robin (11th) set, especially the Catgirl (?) with her crop; the two on the right in the 13th (female Bat-villains) set; numbers two and three in Superman (14th set); all of the Wonder Women (15); all of the Alices (16); far right in Fantasy Characters (18); all four Fairies (set 20); NONE of the furries/ravers (21); Sexy Ghostbuster (22); number two in More Random Horror (24); NO Powerpuff girls (26); numbers two, three and five in "Various Cartoons" (28); one and four in Astronaut and Ninja (29); the blonde version of CutieMouse in 30 (Naughty Nerd)

all of the Tim Burton girls; and vampires three and five for guys who want to be topped. I think those two would be *good* at it.

Sorry - *had* to put the Naughty Nerd/Lewd and Luscious Librarian pic in. It's my favorite.

Sorry, DVS. I went and got all redneck on y'all.

ETA: But I think the real reason you quoted my post was just to put the Naughty Nerd/Lewd Librarian pic up again. :p

I think the sign on her panties needs to be changed to SPANK ME or something similar.

I just couldn't believe you had spelled women with an 'I' and a couple of 'Ms'.

Sometimes - like when I'm taking *lots* of pain pills - my brain goes all Georgia-Tennessee and even my typing gets redneck. Didn't mean to traumatize you.

You did, and I don't need any more trauma in my life, right now! I nearly had to change my undies! And that's dangerous when you ain't wearing any!

This is where i insert that I made cheerleader costumes for a friend and myself and included a lace cut out target on the ass, and flogger pom-pons. :D

This year the place I have spent the last 3 halloweens is having a Rocky Horror them. I'm still trying to fully decide my costume as I really want to wear a corset, but the perfectionist in me wants to stay true to the original movie costumes.

Puts on my best serious face and offers a handshake. Deal.

These better be public pics. Just sayin'.
Nothing of that nature was said or implied in the contract. Note that the initial post said "send pics," not "post pics." I may not be a lawyer (see CYA notice below), but I do tend to use language as precisely as possible (with the exception of occasional analgesic-sponsored southernisms).

Just peeking in to wish you a Happy Halloween...I have a variety of witch costumes that I have to wear for work this time of year. I perform as a children's storyteller, but I always try to look for costumes that have the corset-lacing up the front of it. After all, the mommies & daddies buy the tickets so I think it's only fair that I at least provide them with some entertainment. :)

Last year I made a "sexy" Esmeralda from the Disney's Hunchback movie. But this year I am going to the Rocky Horror Ball so I think I will go as Magenta <maid outfit>.

I tried to get everyone at work last year interested in doing the store up for Halloween. Apparently the English aren't as "in to" Halloween as Americans are. <sighs> However, I DID end up with a pen that looks like syringe that from the pound store (think dollar store) that's one of the best pens I've had in ages. <laughs> Sad that. I'm still using it almost a year later!

See I was thinking of doing Magenta, only with a black corset top and sleeve/arm bands, and a black circle skirt with petticoat under it and then the apron and maid's cap.

Then I actually saw the movie and saw how boring the actual maid costume is, and it totally put me off it.

If I found a frizzy red wig, would it still work?

either that or I was thinking about doing that costume that several of them wear in the last scene, with all the face paint. But then, I"m worried about my hives with that one.

*sigh*

I'm never entirely certain how all the traditions of Samhain, All Hallows Even and the Autumnal Equinox wound up in a mish mash of pumpkin carving, costume parties and free candy...

But I'm really glad it did. :D

There aren't that many people who actually do the whole Hallowen thing, but the couple of ticketed theme parties that run every year are always great fun.

*puts on glasses and clears throat*

I can clear this up for you, suge!

In short...

The "Modern" tradition of trick or treating and costumes was institutionalized mainly by the government around the 1950's because teenagers made it a habit of "tricking", or playing serious pranks in the Halloween season. The pranks weren't always innocently toilet papering people's trees, some of them mushroomed into serious dangers and massive money-sinks and inconveniences. To keep the kids out of trouble, the candy-and-costume "norm" was established, and quickly adopted by stores as another way to maximize seasonal profits by selling pre-made costumes and other Halloween themed paraphernalia. So much like Christmas originally started as something pagan and was eventually adopted and commercialized for profit, as was Halloween.

Hope this helps, dear. ;)

And I'm just proposing an amendment to the agreement that I suspect would meet with considerable approval within the rest of the legislative body. :D

ETA: One of our sons just got an acting job at a haunted house near his college. For the next few weekends he'll be working nights to scare the crap out of people. He's very, very excited about this. :D

Down in this no-where-town, the Humane Society is hosting a haunted trail, my mother is going to be scaring the tar out of little kids. I asked her what her costume was going to be. Mind you, she is only 4'11 and thin as a rail. Her reply "Did I ever need a costume when I scared the sh*t out of you, when you were younger?"

Point made.

My son and I used to scare eachother. Until...

Once, years ago, he popped out at me in the dark when I was late getting out the door. I was so scared, I don't know how to explain what happened. It was like my mind was overcome with emotion, I instantly started crying. It was crazy! He started hugging me and saying sorry. We don't do that anymore.

My mother just scares the crap out of me because... well she's my mom. This little woman chased a 6'2 200 lbs 17 year old down the street in his tighty whitey's with just a broom. My brother has never crossed her again....

More costumes on offer this year:

There are eleven others in this photo article from Buzzfeed, titled, "14 Beloved Children's Characters Turned 'Sexy' Halloween Costumes." Some of them, quite frankly, suck (IMNSHO).
