It clearly isn't. Explain the other nations over us, lets assume that Hong Kong is the exception that proves the rule since that's clearly what it is. Canada is more socialist than us, so is Denmark. So are all the nations over us.
Okay, that's one nation. We are losing to 17, please explain why 17 countries, all more socialist than us are out performing us in economic freedom. Is it perhaps that socialism and economic freedom aren't related (at least by the measures this chart is using) or that socialism might actually promote economic freedom?
They don't have unions.![]()
You say they are more socialist than us, but what do you base that on? Those "socialist" countries you try and equate with us, probably don't have enough geography to hold our over weighted bureaucracy, or enough library space to house our regulations.![]()
You think they have an IRS as oppressive and as efficient as ours? You think they have a Title 26 USC with 5.6 million words and 16,845 pages of compliance laid on their business interests? Do you think their citizens spend 5.6 billion hours complying with it every year?
Hong Kong, notwithstanding its free market conditions, is an enormous cash cow that Chinese Communists have no problem compromising their politics to take economic advantage of. Get a clue son.
Yes. They have an IRS more oppressive and more efficient than ours. By leaps and bounds. I don't know if there laws are as complex as ours but that really doesn't matter one way or the other.
When exactly did you stop viewing European style socialism as worse than American style capitalism and instead as something grand?
Bullshit it does matter you're fucking clueless if you think it doesn't matter.
Capitalism long left America we have a managed socialism economic system.
Yeah, bring back the robber barons, dude!

This is how Obama and his freedom killing regime is throttling the American economic system:
Cost of Regulations Under Obama: $488 Billion
10:03 AM, SEP 19, 2012 • BY DANIEL HALPER
The American Action Forum has released new analysis of the burden of new regulations under President Obama. It's most striking finding? The cost of added regulations under President Obama is now estimated to be $488 billion.
"Based on data from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and regulations published in the Federal Register, the Administration has published more than $488 billion in regulatory costs since January 20, 2009 – $70 billion in 2012 alone," reads the analysis from AAF.
"Ignoring all non-“major” rules with costs in 2009, the regulatory tally still surpassed $61 billion. In 2010, counting only “major” rules, the regulatory bill rose to $160 billion in lifetime costs. AAF began tracking every proposed and final rule in 2011. That year alone the Administration published more than $231 billion in regulatory costs. AAF reviewed 6,705 regulations in 2011 and has tracked more than 4,700 regulations to date in 2012."
The most costly government agencies in 2012 alone are Health and Human Services (which has an estimated regulation burden of $16.7 billion), the Environmental Protection Agency ($12.1 billion), the Department of Energy ($10.6 billion), the Department of Justice ($6.9 billion), and the Securities and Exchange Commission ($6.2 billion).
The other cost associated with these regulations is the man-hours that it would take to implement and enforce these new regulations. Under President Obama, this cost is at least 1.58 billion hours.

It's as simple as this son, "right against left, is right against wrong."
Keep it in mind.![]()
Let's do be fair, 4700 new regulations under Obama and an added cost of 488 billion to an already crippled economy is criminal. Yes the system is broken but the idiot who has sworn to act in our best interest is doing nothing about it except making it worse.
You're a s dumb as the Colonel, ass bite. Take a look at who's number one and who's number 107. Don't ell me you can't figure it out. China may be a communist country in every aspect, but it has created economic zones where relatively free enterprise can exist, and does exist, when it decides such zones are in it's best economic interests. China isn't the only country where such is the case.
He didn't run on seizing the health care system and driving up the costs. He didn't run on crashing the economy or taking the freedom of generations yet unborn. He did run on cutting the deficit in half in his first term however.![]()
