The joys of voting when both sides are dodgy, NSW got rid of the problem ridden Labor party & put the liberals back in power only to get higher power & water charges we then here that education is getting the razor treatmnent & how outr struggling hospitals are in line to be raped with massive cuts to total close to 3 BILLION $$$$$$$.

By the way the rise in power costs getting blamed on the Carbon Tax isn't true it's the continued neglect in up grades to the power plants through the decades with both sides ignoring the problems as the cities & state grew.

Congratulations on your granddaughter WQ. It sounds like your daughter is doing a great job as a new mum.

Gil, I watched that same news report about Kate and the water meaning she must be pregnant. Thought to myself oh what fun it could be to be a royal and play games with the scavengers of the press. Mind you that and the shoe funds would be about the only good part about it.

I also agree about our pollies. What a job hey! Only one I know of where you can act like a fool, lie about your abilities and what you can achieve and not be fired on the spot. And if you do happen to lose your job you still get paid for how many years? Ha! Where do I sign up.

So today is the first day of a fresh start for me. The past 2 years have been both a blessing and a nightmare and I somehow lost my love of life and a lot of trust in mankind during it. But, I am aiming to fix that.. to bring back the positive and find my smile again. Also planning an interstate move in the next 6 months so I have that to look forward to.

My ex was put out & now the lucky guy who picked her up (while we were still together) has benifited by the "The Circle of Wife" as she has more than doubled in size which really seems like Karma.

As for BANDIT she accepts I have my man stuff both in the unit & garage, I'm a lucky man.


We have had a great start to spring although showers & storms are predicted for today then fine for the weekend with the wet weather returning next week for several days, so hope the warmth continues.

I'm not sure why they build modern houses with garages nobody seems to use them for cars these days. May be they should retitle them as Junk Huts. I have a double car steel frame garage with a carport attached. Never used the garage for the car since I bought the place nearly 12 years ago.

There you go recycling does work. I wonder if the council will come out with a pamphlet on that...'Re-cycle your partner day, cheaper than a divorce'

I saw an add in a paper for a guy wanting to sell stuff...it went something like....'Set of encyclopaedias for sale in good condition. Not required anymore..wife knows everything.'

Well glad the week is over. Started off a bit slow but got busy really quickly. Wet weather set in at the moment and has been rather cool in the last few days. Winter seems to be winning this battle for now. Spring will come back soon.

A few birthdays for family and friends this month from 3 to 53. Just proves I've been alive for many years.

just so you all know..... i will be travelling thro a couple of states heading toward darwin next saturday.
i don't have a lot of time to leave airports, but if anyone is free to come for a cuppa (or a bourbon :wink: ) at either -

sydney between 1pm to 2-30pm on sat 22 sept. or

brisbane 4-30pm to 8-15pm on sat 22 sept. -

i would love to catch up!

I think they should use Garage/ storeroom/ playroom/ junk dump to cover all uses although I do know of a well set up dungeon in theirs.

BANDIT & I have got rid of a lot of backstabbing arseholes from our lives & it is so much better now although slowly building new friendships.

BANDIT has made a few at the gym & she seems to enjoy her time with these ladies from the body combat & boxing classes & they find it a great stress relief too.

Fetlife has its place.... After all, it is meant to cater for the more extreme taste in human relationships!

I guess what we all need to bear in mind that any form of online community gives people the chance to hide behind a nic, invent a persona and have fun playing with people who think this is for real.

I have made some friends here, I've seen real time relationships come and go, I've seen people get hurt both here and when they have moved the connection to real life, I've seen people get a great deal of support and much needed distraction when faced with the challenge of just trying to stay alive. I've seen people get really screwed when they were caught out "playing" behind the backs of their SO.

As an online community, the "Aussies" has had its ups and downs and has been accused of being clicky - and it was a deserved criticism. This is just another theatre of the absurd (just as Fetlife is) and should be treated with the same amount of caution.

I might sound as if I'm being a bit of a killjoy, but I've been around long enough to realise that it ain't all butterflies and cupcakes! I've seen people grow and heal, live and die, celebrate and mourn, love and be hurt; its a strange place but I count a few people found here as friends with whom the connection surmounts anything that could ever happen in a place like this.

I hope you find someone in Perth... I know over time there have been a number of Perth players here but they have all moved on. Perth even managed to snaffle one of our regular Brissie based people and convince him to go play on the other side of the continent...

I think I need more coffee.... and watch out for GA's dad....if the father is anything like the son, he's wicked!
