LOL Having flashbacks to Blazing Saddles....... :D

All power to you! There used to be a saying in Defence ; 'just wait 5 years - and some bright spark will have the brilliant idea to do it just the way we were before this years bright spark decided to change it!'

Mmmm. Don't do much shopping. None here. When I get to the big smoke I plan, engage, execute and withdraw. No muckin around! Mind you I did browse shops in St Kilda on my bday w/e, and was kindly indulged by my patient escort. :D Been thinking of getting that CD, love female jazz and blues artists. She's the bees knees.

Ironing sucks lemons but hasta be done. Try telling HUGE leather clad bikie in colours that real men don't drink the Caramel Soy Latte he just ordered. I sure as hell didn't!!!!

Take care, Mr Elf. Hope your week is good to you. :rose:

Yep I did a similar thing in St. Kilda with a friend from Sydney. I've been to Acland Street a lot for cake shopping, she finds a dress shop in the same street. Who goes to Acland St. to buy a dress? What the heck!

A caramel soy latte, WTF?? Maybe he was a weekend bikie. Did he still have teeth? Can't be a real bikie unless he's lost some teeth.

Odd??? I hope you say that with LUUUUUURVE, Deej!

Eclectic, is probably closer the mark! Sheesh!

Does that mean you collect light bulbs?:D

I purchased a floor lamp with a foot switch, now I don't know what to do with my hands.

Evening all,

Well its Monday.....got nothing much...still Monday

It was sunny today...cold now..rain tomorrow....then it'll be Tuesday...payday on Thursday..... but now yep...still Monday....

Didn't know that Wild Turkey and Honey could go together...purchased that on a Monday...found out today I paid $3 too much.......fucking Mondays.

OMFG!!!

I have been trying to post a reply here for over an hour
Ever since the downtime for maintenance that laurel and manu did a few weeks ago, lit has been playing silly buggers.

Anyway...... Good evening aussies, and welcome Rainshine

All is well in the Apple Isle.... my mama is over to visit for two weeks, and play with her great-grandaughter.
Haven't seen her for over a yr and a half, so there's a LOT to catch up on!

The weather has finally turned wintery - rain, snow and wind.
So consequently, I am back to being a 44 yr old with Shirley Temple ringlets

The man is away at work again. Part of me is really enjoying the solitude, and other parts of me are missing the company ;):devil:

Hi WQ! :rose: Yeah lit has been bloody frustrating. It takes 2 goes to get anything through. Hopefully they'll sort it.

Hope you're having a great time with your mama, daughter and granddaughter all together. Babies grow far too quickly.

We've had shocking winds. Shook my car around last Thursday. Very scary. It's a sturdy 6c ford. Not light. And if I read a report on the arrest of a Tassie woman singing 'The Good Ship Lollypop', I'll know it's you! :D:D:D

Mmmm. Cold weather is cuddle weather. Hope he's not gone for too long.

Hi again Rainshine. I see you found the other Aussies :D
(I lurk around the fringes of the thread as the Kiwi one is super quiet).

Hi cousins ... Triskie

Hi there, stranger! :kiss::kiss:

Hope all is well across the ditch. Has the ground stopped shakin? :rose:

All sorts of shops grace Ackland St, now! Took quite a while to check them out. Got some cute earrings but one broke they were too delicate. Got a Buddah for my princess cherub and panpipes for the testosterone cherub. The icecream/sorbet was pretty good. But the seating on the sidewalks made it hard to get around sometimes.

The fella got heaps. And, yes, he had a few pieces missing or damaged! And he effing likes it OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!! It's funny, y'know. The boys are ALWAYS courteous and polite. Never leave a mess. regardless of colours or chapter. Unlike some who consider themselves better.

Does that mean you collect light bulbs?:D

A man who doesn't know what to do with his hands???? nah. Don't believe it!!! :p

Yeah the seating on the sidewalk of Acland St is not great then again it was not built for sidewalk dinning. Just a way to get more customers and during the summer there are just too many people and not enough space.

The sunday markets which happen all year round have some good stuff and there is plenty of space to walk being on the promenade. I take all my female visitors down there.

Now there is nothing wrong with a bikie getting in touch with his feminine side...just so he realises his mates are going to give him hell about it.

Evening all,

Had the day off today and slept in till 9am, must have been really tired. Nice sunny day for the last day of Winter. Officially Spring tomorrow, but a bit like New Years Day...kinda an anti-climax...

Well the Para Olympics is going well, second on the leader board. Coverage is a bit out of sight on channel 2.

Sad day for the Aussie troops yesterday and their respective families.

Well that carbon tax increase was a bit of a fluffer. Went up by $3. Yet it was like the sky is falling prior to it. Unfortunately I don't qualify for any payments. It seems I'm better off not working or at least retired. Heavy tax, reduced rebates, no extra payouts. Wow that's an incentive to earn a better wage.

Hope the weekend is good to all.

Fathers day BUT .....

Its Fathers Day, but lets think about mum for a minute,
Thank for not swallowing me, mum.....!

:D

Greetings, all.

I've been away a long time, but I'm thinking of sticking around for a while.

Welcome back Arianthe! ..and I'll add a 'me too' here as well. I've been off dealing with RL getting in the way, but now I'm dipping my toes in the waters of Lit again.
Hello *everyone* - I'll try to track back through the past pages and get a feel for whats been happening the past many months.

Well, after a few decidedly spring-like days, the weather has set in. It is pouring and howling a gale.
And in the middle of it all, I have my new fish-smoker set up on the front porch because I got my salmon all prepped yesterday and it must be done today!
Add to all that, the carpet cleaner is coming tomorrow, so most of my housefull of furniture has been jammed into the bedrooms in readiness because I can't put it outside!

Just another day

LOL

HAPPY FATHER'S (+ MOTHER'S) DAY

:rose:

 Katie

Hi Katie, nice to see you back on the Aussie thread & I've been thinking on your email for the story & will reply soon.

We really should dump the fathers day after the one I had. :(

Welcome back Arianthe, you have been missed & really need a good spanking & seeing to for that.

I hope all is well in R/L.;)

Spring must be the incentive for people returning to the fold as I & BANDIT:heart: don't seem to get in here anywhere near as often as we would like.

On the bright side the water tanks always need a top up unless they are overflowing.

I had the most wonderful BROILED samon in Calgary, B.C. Canada but sadly haven't had it's equal since.

It seems from looking up the page that Mz Frisky & Elf have been keeping things moving on the thread & hope these winds haven't blown you to much.

Evening all,

Hey Gil good to see you posting again. Trisk has been doing a good job in keeping the thread moving...I suppose a reword is in order...tossing up between a kisss or a nipple lick...shame she hasn't been a naughty girl then the choice is obvious.

Welcome back to those long absent, must admit I've been in that category for a while.

Like most of the south we have copped a lot of damaging wind gusts here in Melbourne. There wasn't any pariticular pattern to it but some inner suburbs got wind gusts up to 120 km/hr. Like Adelaide lots of trees blown over. Unfortunately that scenario took a life with a guy on his way to work. More of it coming tonight I believe. In between it has been sunny and quite nice.

Went to a 21st in a bikie joint which was interesting. No chance of gate crashers.

Yep, the winds have started where I am. Another noisy, restless night ahead. Stay safe!

you do mean the weather right :D

Kinda calm where I am, however I'm not far from the bay so may not be calm for too long.

batten down them hatches...or hold on to someone..take care

The winds have eased a little down here, but we're apparently going to get more of the same tomorrow.
Would be nice to get some more rain!

Hiya, Gil! Hope you and R are keeping well. It's nice to know someone missed me! :)

I've been unlucky in love, so I thought I'd come back to where it all began.

Hey WQ,

Yep those winds are causing more downed trees. How unlucky is one guy who came out of his house to watch the SES chop up a downed tree only then to be struck by another falling tree. Sounds like something from a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
