It's good to know your work is.. appreciated.
Indeed!

I just dont get informed or anything like that. Seems people think I might tie them up and devour them slowly and painfully. I have no idea where they get that from.
I had bookmarked it, but sadly it is no longer there. But if I could replay it from my vivid memory.... *Sighs* Works for me in private moments, but not really something I can share. ;)

I have you on my friends list, but I've not been very good company lately, so I'm kind of waiting until the bad things get a little better. :(

Yes, I took it down and deleted that one from my computer, dammit all. Very glad to know that it does live on though.

That's alright, I'm quite quiet on yahoo anyway. But that is typical for me. Let alone the shitstorm as of late. Hope they get better son.

I cannot imagine what it is about you that would give them that impression. I don't see it, personally.

-smiles-

Hit a road block the size of Montana but doing well despite that. Just have to change the route. ;)

Otherwise I'm good. Some very good things and good people in my life that make it all worth while.

How are you?

Glad to hear you're not giving up though you don't strike me as that kind of woman. My impression is you're rather tenacious. :)

I'm good. The kiddo and I had some good quality time this weekend, so always a plus and even managed a little back-to-school shopping.

LT:

It was nice to escape the heat for a couple of hours.

ParaNorman was a good little horror animated movie. It had a mild drag in the 3rd act, but all around some fun stuff and even a touch scary, especially if you might be a small child.

-nods nods nods- Sometimes a bit too much so.

Quality time is always awesome with kiddos. ick, shoping, glad you had fun with that!

I don't mind the shopping and we do it small doses because she's not much of a shopper unless in the mood. Toss a few t-shirts her way and jeans and she's good. It's nice having an athlete/tomboy has a daughter. LoL

LT~

Burning your hand on the side of an oven hot baking dish, friggin' sucks.

Ow ow ow.

And yes... I know... don't do that.

ow. I hope it's not too bad.

I hate when I do that and yes, I have a tendency to be a little clumsy in the kitchen at times.

Not too terribly bad. I just don't do well with burns. Bad accident several years ago working in Food Service with steam. Wasn't pretty.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets clumsy in the kitchen.

Me too. This is why I don't use kitchen knives. My last trip to the ER was due to an open can top. Cut my ring finger down to the bone. six stitches.

I had some aloe. Unfortunately, a blister has developed. I think I need some ice.

Steam burns on the worse!

A handful of years ago I was making Jell-O shots and boiled the water in a tea kettle when it whistled I turned off the stove and removed the cap and my wrist got in the way and honestly don't ask me how but I managed to burn my other wrist in the process. (no I had not started drinking. lol ) So, yes I had both wrists bandaged that night. It was lovely.

I don't do well with burns either. I hope it heals quickly and isn't too painful.

Ouch! Fortunately I've managed not to cut myself too terribly with a knife. *knocks on wood.*

I wonder if there is steak in the freezer... or cheese for sauce........... mmmmm... i'm hungry for food now.

All this talk of kitchen injuries though. I might dawn armor before cooking.

It may be the safe thing to do. ;)

I'd encourage that, Nina... but it's too friggin' hot. I wouldn't want you to roast.

I have stainless steel pots and pants, inside, handle, everything... I think it was Thanksgiving, I was cooking something big anyway, and I accidentally turned on a burner under a pan I had ready to use but wasn't yet using. And didn't realize it until I grabbed it, with my bare hand, and the handle was stupidly hot.

It turned out to be a good thing there were no small children around, or they would've learned all kinds of new words that day.

I find it stupidly funny that Cali is hotter than florida this summer. Then agian, This might be the first time I've paid any attention so I then, laugh at my self too.

Oy, I've done something similar. My oven gets really hot when I have the broiler on and I had my stainless steel pot handle turned inward. I didn't realize super hot air had been blowing on the handle and grabbed it... that was not joyous.

stainless steel pants huh? *snickers*

Ouch! I can sympathize. I did that myself once.

I think between Cait and I complaining almost daily it may be hard not to notice our miserable little heat wave. :)

yeah first time.I had ever injured myself where I was scared. I was bleeding so much and I couldn't get it to stop. I had no idea how to get to the hospital.I even used a belt as a tournaquet and it didn't even slow it down. almost passed out from blood loss ny the time they got me jnto a room. (4 hours of unchecked bleeding will do that to you)

I am clumsu and hurt myself frequently and am usually the calm one. It is a whole different animal though when you do it that bad and you are by yourself and dont know where the hospital is.

*kisses his cheek*

Yes, Daddy.

you prolly already knew that.

-kisses-

Actually I didn't but I guessed that was why they tell you to put a burn under running cold water or put ice on it. That makes sense.
