Random Gamer Silliness

Well those scar stories are like multiple choice. He also had a childlike excitement to the violance and carnage he cause.

Back for the killing joke. I loved how he compared himself to Batman. It really was the truth
Also loved his last joke.

I love how Batman finally told a joke and it was funny. They do a decent job of recapturing the humor of that moment in the finale of Arkham City.

And yeah the scar stories are multiple choice, but they are all scary. It's multiple choice in Mad Love from The Animated Series too and it's funny. . .well until Batman starts laughing. That shit's downright creepy.

I was playing that for a while until recently. I guess I lost interest in it.

I have yet to actually finish Oblivion or Skyrim. I do enjoy the breadth of the game and the ability to just meander and mess about. But eventually it gets to be too much like "go there, get that, go there, get that, go there, get that" and the monotone gets to me and I stop playing.

You'd think I'd save that point and then just continue from that point, but I never do, I always start completely over. In part because if I don't remember how to use the controls or what I did six months ago, now I'm LOST and monotone.

Heh. Playing Skyrim and there's a ghost that shows you where her corpse is. Without thinking, I loot the thing.

"Really? You had to take the armor? You couldn't leave me with a little dignity?"

Oops.

Which part is this? Is it the "vampire" chick that disappeared?

It's in Arkngthamz. You walk in and hear "Turn back" *I turn around*

Take a few steps forward "Go back now while you still can..." *I turn around, but keep walking*

Now of course in reality I'd be running already. But it's a game, so I assume I can actually do it and the dead chick is either trying to trick me or warn me.

She appears. I ask her questions and she volunteers to come with me.

I didn't make it into this dungeon in my other playthrough, so this area is new to me.

No hint of vampire, she's just glowy and dead.

We know that dead people in Skyrim cannot be trusted. So I'm still working my way through. She wants revenge on someone who stole her research, but it's possible she's a vampire and the niece of the guy in Benrius Manor. Stupid dead people.

Gah. Sold my Krosis mask for 1500 and it'd cost 5000 to buy it back. Guess who is loading a Krosis mask.

I've not sold those, part of my hoarding issues. :D

The game makes me vaguely nuts because of the tab out issues. I am in and out of the game often and the mouse gets messed up. I thought I was doing something else and he thought I was selling him my mask.

Asshole!

I get the game mouse and the regular computer mouse in the game and they both respond in bizarre ways. Yes, my mouse is hovering over a response and it's highlighted, but it still responds to something else. Sometimes enter works, but sometimes it doesn't. I just get sick of restarting the game.

It was an accident! I swear, can I just...I'll give you back the...fine.

But I kept the 1500, so...

I went back to my old game, since I am level 54 and have not finished the DLC.

I cannot get used to the way the vampires look.

tcl isn't working as a flying mode, it's supposed to eliminate clipping?

I know the mountains are majestic and all, but I'm tired of hiking 20 minutes out of my way to try to find a way over them.

Anybody use any of the fly items or modes and how do I activate them?

/stuck on a mountain

I tend to walk around and around and around the mtns until I get frustrated enough to look online for the map on how to directly get to where I want to go.

Or I give the controller to the son and tell him to get me there.

Yeah, this is why I resort to cheats.

Shutting the game down and it appears to be downloading something..who knows. Maybe if I restart it'll work. I might just start porting to the location. I can meander and look at foxes and bunnies, but the mountains do really irritate me. Can't even get herbs above the snow line and I have to keep godmode on because otherwise I'll just fall to my death.

Yaaay! Patch and restart covered it. Now I can get on with completely ignoring game requirements.

I got an update for the 360 too.

This is weird, this game is so big that I can't even tell what is the expansion content.

Random puppies attacking me so far. More vampires than usual?

It's not like the Mad God where it was an entirely new place. I think it's integrated and unfortunately I don't even know if it's been included...hope so. Paid for it!

I'm too slack to read all the way thru the chain of posts.
Glancing at the last couple, we're talking Skyrim?

Oh yeah, just jump in whenever. Definitely a free association thing. Not everyone's playing the same games, but a couple people start up and then there's a lot of game blurts completely disconnected from anything else. All are welcome.

Yup, I'm playing through Skyrim. Never made it through the first time entirely, but I just got the expansion.

I tend to just run miscellaneous quests until I get tired and I stop playing. I'm making use of silly amounts of cheats.

Usually I double buy games, one for the pc and the one for Xbox 360. But I didn't for skyrim and now I cannot cheat.

Le big sigh

Ditto. I think I've done most of the major quests an discovered basically all of the map locations. Haven't downloaded Dawnguard yet, so I'm hoping that might freshen things up a bit. It's an awesome game, but I have to say I think I enjoyed Oblivion more.

When Oblivion came out my PC couldn't run it and it took me a while to upgrade, so I did a lot of my playing on the 360 and watched my daughter complete her whole game there. I was dead wrong, I thought Sean Bean was going to be the ultimate bad guy. Man, was I embarrassed. Nope, it's Terence Stamp!

Unfortunately there are so many ways that the cheats can mess up the game itself that I often end a game with a garble of quests I can't complete. And since I'm so OCD in these terms it can get frustrating.

I like to progress through. I start out and I think...I'll do the miscellaneous quests and then I'll get to the main quest...

But I don't ever get through the miscellaneous and then some of them are bugged and incompletable...and I leave.

Oblivion was...funnier and more endearing. I absolutely...adored...the whole line of the Assassin's guild and the horrifyingly romantic family way it was portrayed. "I hope you don't get killed!"

Sheogorath in the expansion was wonderful. "I'm so happy to see you I could just tear out your intestines and strangle you with them!"

Skyrim is...pretty and kinda cold. You have to make your own fun, it isn't going to get handed to you on a regular basis.
