They'd had talks about Spike and Illyria as late as 2007, but I think much like Gargoyles there is a lot of love and these guys may bandy about ideas until people start actually dying. I'm glad you guys like all the girls that I'm only so so on. Means less sharing.

They'll probably reboot Buffy in about five to ten years. Just long enough that the target audience won't know who she is directly. At this point I actually prefer hunting for quality fanfiction than the official stuff.

James still wants to do something with spike, but he knows he only has a few more years to do it. Also I think he was the oldest person on the set next to maybe Anthony Head. Amazed the shit outta me. I know they were close in age

I actually thought James Marsters was British. I was gobsmacked when I saw him interviewed somewhere and he had that Californian accent. Highest compliment I can give.

The real star was the writing. They need to find better writers if they're going to pull it off.

He has done some projects, but not as good. He also narrates the Dresden Files books. Which I loved the series, but the books themselves are disturbingly...misogynist and I could only get through one of them.

BTW, the chick that played Drusilla? Not so much.

I'd compare him to Hugh Laurie's genius in sounding like he's from Princeton, and that's a damned high compliment from me. Hugh is in a class of his own.

My girfriend loves bones and thinks Dave is the sexiest man alive. She never saw him young though so I put on the first few episodes of buffy. She has to get through the first 3 seasons before I let her watch angel.

As much as I applaud the writing I think Buffy is an amazing setting and that a set of good writers, not great, could make an excellent series out of it. It ranks up there with Batman and Ninja Turtles. You have to try mighty hard to fuck either of these things up. It's not impossible mind you but it is quite difficult.

Well they did give the batsuit nipples...

If they'd repleased the 90's batman movies in reverse order I bet you people's opinions would be vastly different. Forever and Robin were a bit a hard left from the rather serious Batman and only slightly less dark and serious Returns but compared to Adam West which would have been the last live action interpretation. . .not so much and this would have predated the Animated Series as well.

Also those movies are still fuck ups, I didn't say it was impossible. I said it was damn hard. Batman the Brave and the Bold is fucking excellent and it's comedy Batman. Complete with a three minute song about how male super heros suck in bed.

I must hear this song!

Hah. You can tell in the Buffy series he really starts out being a very bad actor and sorta warms his way up to being adequate through that series and Angel, with good direction.

In Bones he still gets a great character and more range. I think he's now a tolerable actor, but although he's pretty...I don't think he has that much natural talent, though he's made good use of his experience.

It's worth it!

As long as he maintains the creative rights. I think the only person I can think of that could give it a try would be Ben Edlund (The Tick) or Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and they're both doing their own thing. Ben's on Supernatural right now, I think, or has been.

It's a delicate mix of humor, romance and fear and I think it would be really, really easy to fuck up.

Well if the stories from behind the scenes are true David didn't audition to be Angel he was walking his dog or some such rubbish when one of the ladies involved with production saw him, apparently got quite buttery in her nethers and gave him a job.

Why am I not suprised.

I'd be terrified of Kripke's Supernatural. I think Sam Raimi (Xena, Spiderman) could knock Buffy clear into the cheap seats and he's not doing much at the moment. Greg Wiesman (Gargoyles, Spectacular Spiderman) would probably do a very good job with it as well.

I'll admit though that I have a faith in Buffy that fucking up by accident would be a tad difficult. It's just a question of if you really wanted to keep the original tone. Batman (Adam West), Batman the Animated Series, Batman (Nolanverse) are all radically different interpretations of the same material and characters so I'm less worried about holding the delicate mix as I am seeing a good group of characters in a verse worth exploring.

As far as Batman, the animated series and nolan I think did the best job (heaths super dark joker I doubt will ever be beat). If rami does buffy you know Bruce campbell will be in there somewhere.

He's old enough for Giles now I think.

Bruce is busy with Burn Notice, he'd probably show up for a cameo, certainly not as major a role as Giles unless it's after Burn Notice ends.

For the record I'll hold Batman the Brave and the Bold as being just as good as the Animated series and this from a guy who thinks Health Ledger doesn't hold a candle to Mark Hamill.
