I'd argue that if the point is that women were portrayed as stupid back in the day (a debatable point but one I'll cede since the other option would involve hours of watchin television that somehow sounds unappealing. Who'da thunk it. Hours of TV sounding like work?

I would say in a very real way guys have just gotten the script flipped on them for the last twenty years. I don't think that when I can go, Simpsons, King of the Hill, Married with Children, Unhappily Ever After, Family Guy and you already know who the common character is in all these shows that we can exactly claim that things are anywhere near an equilibrium of any sort. It's just it's our turn to be stupid and useless for quite a while. We still dominate action but we still dominate the military and sports too and baring some evolutionary change we're gonna dominate in that for another long stretch cus you simply have to be really good at a physical activity to overcome the size differences on average.

It doesn't help that guys are a bit pickier (and women don't as a whole seem to be much more forgiving regardless of what they claim) about what women can and can't star in a leading role as opposed to what guys can star in a leading role so I'd be willing to bet that the pool of male potential lead actors is simply deeper than female lead actors but that's just me guessing.

Okay. As far as I'm concerned, sex is a need like food. You pay someone to cook for you, you can pay someone to have sex with you.

There doesn't really need to be an emotional attachment. Yes, food is better when prepared with love, but it is life sustaining either way. Same with sex.

I think history and biology disagree with you. I think sex is as necessary for taking pressure off the brain and body as food is necessary for repairing brain and body.

Priorities change over a life, but easier access to sex without all the social pressures and judgment could only do good things for overall mental health of individuals and boost the economy and starve a black market.

Charisma is awesome. I don't know if she can sing, but she's funny and smart. I loved her delivery. "What, I can't have layers?"

Considering "Once More With Feeling" is something you could probably only pull off once getting more sweet is reason enough for them to get on that damn animated series already. I could deal with him being the Ethan Rayne. You know something hinky's going on and you don't even need to ask, you just know.

I miss Ethan. It's a shame some army punks were able to hold him.

Considering "Once More With Feeling" is something you could probably only pull off once getting more sweet is reason enough for them to get on that damn animated series already. I could deal with him being the Ethan Rayne. You know something hinky's going on and you don't even need to ask, you just know.

Let's hope for a good continuation of the series. It's funny, I didn't even want to watch the TV show because I thought it wouldn't be as good as the movie.

Then I was switching channels one day and I saw Spike say "I'm a veal kind of guy, you're too old to eat...but not to kill." (neck snap)

My hand paused on the remote. Waaaait a second. This has promise.

I was planning on moving down with Ulaven but I hadn't moved yet. We used to watch episodes together on the phone from our separate abodes. What a horrendous phone bill, but totally worth it.

While I do love the movie I love the show infinitely more. It really goes to show how different the same product can come out with just a change in direction. At least according to legend Joss intended for the movie to be closer in tone to the tv show and they mostly followed the script just went a different direction.

I'm fairly certain the series is dead. The comics are at best so so in my opinion. Joss for all his genious really and truly needs to be constrained by things like budgets and physics or at least the constraints of working in a universe where he doesn't make the rules. His run on Spiderman was brilliant.

If the cartoon was gonna happen it would have by now, same with Ripper, The Illyria movie and the reboot that died in the works.
