Photoshoot with friend

So a few weeks back a friend of mine said that she wanted to take some photos to send to her bf. I asked her if I could keep the originals and use them in my portfolio and/or post them for feedback. She said she didn't mind at all as long as I took her face off of them and share any comments with her afterwards. So here she is. As an FYI, I'm also available to do photography for others, female or couples, nothing physical involved. I just enjoy the artistic side of things. Although I am still an amateur photographer without a super fancy camera, I think it's the eye that catches the image that really matters, if that's not tooting my own horn too much. I will post any/all pictures that I have permission for, but not all at once of course. I need to keep you guys interested, she is definitely interested in future shoots, though they broke up so they'd be just for you guys and my portfolio. PM me for interest in working together.

Although if I might add my two cents, (and I do realize that you showed only a fraction so far) I think you could have done with better weather. The sun and the shadows it creates always make for interesting effects.

And as for the camera. You are absolutely right. It doesn't take a $1000+ camera with different lenses to take amazing pictures.

Yeah sadly the only time she had available that week to do the shoot was around 7:30 AM and it was shot out at a beach near my place, I told her the lighting wouldn't do her justice and I did what I could on the computer, though I'm strongly against editing photos. I'm just hoping the next shoot we can do inside or at least in a proper setting.

Personally I think the lighting or lack there of was the sole problem. Not the location. Beaches can be absolutely stunning places to take pictures.

Question: What is the best way to get the best light in a bedroom. We've taken a lot of photos and video, but this is one thing that seems to stump us sometimes.

Since I've gotten 3 people asking about her age already, she's in her early 20s, I won't say the exact age because I don't think it matters. Yes she's single, no she's not looking, she's just enjoy the single life. And for the 5th time, no I've not done anything physical with her, we're just friends.
