The Last Thing You Thought...

Well, since it's about me, then of course it's not odd! :D

Heh. As long as you're okay with the fact that I'll look even whiter next to you! :p

Not at all. I'll up your street cred.

Apparently!

You know what my first car was? A 1986 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. Thing was a POS, and yet.. also kind of a tank. I remember the day it rolled over 200,000 miles.

It had a slow oil leak, and I was driving home from work one night when the oil light flashed at me. The area I was in, there was no place to stop and get oil for it, so I just had to make it home. Got there, checked the dip stick, and it was completely dry. Tossed some oil in, and the thing ran like nothing had ever happened.

Heh and that would never fly these days... you'd have probably been stranded.

I feel old. I think my first vehicle was.....

Shit - it ate straw :(
Ah ha ha... that's a good piece of business.

Right?

My first car... I paid my cousin the price the junk yard was gonna pay her for it. I don't think the oil had been changed in it in... 6 years or so. It was an old chevy lumina. I think it was older than I was. Aside from the fact that the drivers side door didn't open... it ran fine!

Everything pretty much worked on that truck, but man.. there was just no such thing as traction in the winter with it.

In the end it worked out well, cause I can drive like a pro on snow and ice now. It was a trial by fire though.

My first car was an old Toyota pick up. I got it in my parents' divorce because I was the one at home that could drive at the time.

My first car?
A Chevy Tahoe back in '07.
I had her until about a year ago, when I got my mustang.
Now my younger brother has my Tahoe. :p

LTIT: Gosh, my hair is reallllllllllly soft today!
And I really feel like dancing! :D

My hair is still drying from the shower. Dance away ;)

"You're a failure" hurts when you think it, but it hurts even more when your 5 yr old says it to you.

Wow. -Squeezes- If I ever said anything like that to my parent's I'd have not sat down for a week heh.

That's cuz cars are made like crap anymore.

Also. Hi neko.

Totally a trial by fire. And only the essentials worked on my first car. The radio did not. (That was fucking torture. You just don't rob a musician of music.)

My best friend is black, so if I just hang out with both of you...

Well, let's be honest. If I hang out with both of you, I'll look like the most out of place white dude since George W. went to Africa.

That dumb truck did leave me stranded a few times, too.

Though not in El Paso, TX.

...where again, I was a ridiculously out of place white guy.

Oh man. Yeah. I couldn't handle that. That truck actually had a tape player, so I was able to get an adapter and hook up CDs. That was pretty awesome, actually. One of the few really nice things about that thing.

Is it sad that my very first car EVER was just bought one year ago, to practice driving in...

and it's not even a car...

It's a '93 Blazer...

and I still don't wanna go and get my license??

*head shake*

Oh trust me, I have been doing so!

*Grins*

I would watch sticking my tongue out like that, I may have to grab it right up!

Good plan. -Watches-

Yeah. One of the good things though was since it was an older car it had a lot of room. So I was able to fit my entire drum set in it. And another person in the front seat. (If they were small. I had a big drum kit. 8 piece.)

Worked out very well because I was in a metal band, involved a lot of carting my stuff around!

LTIT: I have the bladder of a ninety year old... Or a four year old..
Either way, I'll be right back! :p
