Pigtails!
If my hair were longer and cut for pigtails I'd rock 'em. My hair is short is the back and long only in the front. I'll have to pin my bangs back to keep them from going all wonky.

On the wavy hair part, at least, I can feel your pain.
When I was growing up, they always told me girls would love my curly hair.
What they failed to mention is that these "girls" would be the old women sitting in those domed hair dryer things, jealous that my hair curled naturally while they had to pay for theirs to do so.
It didn't quite work out like I was promised.

Aw. I do actually like curly hair on men. Perhaps I'm partial having curly hair too. I love a little curly fro or when it's cut short, but you can still see that wave in the hair. Yeah that's nice.
