In my experience, most girls tend not to buy into what the media presents as attractive. Fairly equal numbers seem to go for muscled, medium, and slim guys. If you're not having much luck, don't blame your body; I'm sure it's perfectly fine!

Yeah, I have to agree with that. I mean, turn it around the other way -- the media portrays that unless a woman is impossibly slim that she's not going to get a guy's attention, but check out the female posts on Lit. You'll find all body types and you'll find men who appreciate all of them. I think it's the same way -- some women find muscular more attractive, for others it really doesn't do much.

You haven't been hanging around AmPics long enough to learn that there are many pic threads of males here who are not "buff douchebag" dudes. LOL In fact, those kind of bodies are in the minority here. And women, including myself, drool over men with your body type.

Agreed with most of the posters here. I'm thin and my thread got a bigger response than I expected. Maybe you're looking at the wrong kind of girls for feedback. I know that either heavier guys or we thinner ones are decidedly a "niche" rather than mainstream... But there are girls that like it that way.

Hell, if I were to be "attractive" for most of the girls I know (which doesn't make them my friends), I'd have to have at least 20 extra muscle-only pounds and have blue eyes... it depends heavily on the crowd you hang out with. I often listen to my definitely-not-model-like acquaintances groaning about girls not being "hot" for their media-influenced standards, which is quite ironic.

In fewer words... Post. If your standards aren't closed only to what magazines portray as beauty, you'll find out that there are girls here that don't believe in such standards either.

Hmm, perhaps you're looking for acknowledgement(not sure if that's spelled right :?) in the wrong kind of girls? I personally really would prefer a guy NOT to be all muscle and buff... I mean there's no squishiness to lie on or cuddle with then. Even a little bit of a belly is kind of cool, I even know a guy who's basicly structured the same way as I am but more toned (kind of narsasistic in a way) and I think that's awsum. But hey I don't know, I'm just one girls opinion. :3

I wont even go that far. On this site, no matter your body type, there is bound to be at least one person who finds it attractive. Then men and women who are popular have the great personalities first. I'm not going to say that an overweight guy would have the most popular thread ever, but he could still develop a good following. Lit is like an ice cream shop. Everyone can find a flavor to satisfy their taste buds.

The media has nothing to do with what kind of guys I am attracted to........ I am attracted to guys in shape, specially the ones that have six pac abs. It is because I work out daily to keep my shape and expect the guys I date to be in shape......
