Atlas Shrugged, Part 2: Either-Or...

Hey if you got it flaunt it. Four million dollars return on twenty million dollar investment, what is this to a billionaire?

I looked it up because I couldn't believe it.
Started production in April for release in October.
31 day shoot. Longer than the first if you can believe that.
An entirely new cast. Ya know, because that was the whole problem. It wasn't writing, directing or the fact that only about 10 people actually think it's a good story to begin with.

So all in all I'd say it's more money in the toilet. Must be a tax dodge of some sort. Kinda of like how Uwe Boll kept getting work for years.

Someone asked Senator Franken when the sequel to Stuart Smalley was going to be made. He said, "They don't make sequels for movies that lose money."

Apparently, Senator Franken doesn't know what he's talking about.

I bet Eyer is like, one in ten people in the whole of America who bought the Blu-Ray extended director's cut edition of Atlas Shrugged: Episode I.

Remember, this is a trilogy, so this is going to be the Star Wars saga for the Ayn Rand groupies.

It was hard enough getting through the regular cut. Please tell me there isn't actually an extended directors cut.

Due to the general tone of this this thread I suppose I'm going to get fried for this but I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Don't lie. If you could make KRC, the Boot Camp Chronicles you'd totally rock that film. Probably even play yourself despite the fact that as hot as you are you don't look much like 18 year old you.

I have not yet seen Atlas Shrugged, Part 1, but I did just now finish watching the superb performance by Gary Cooper portraying Howard Roark in Ayn Rand's screenplay result of her book The Fountainhead.

When The Fountainhead premiered in 1949, the Communist-published Daily Worker called it "an openly fascist movie"...

...so it's no surprise that puny little statists still whine about Rand's work.

But every time I watch it I'm again reminded of what a fantastic objective idealist Rand was and what an outstanding character actor Raymond Massey was.

If you click the link located in the OP, the link to the full movie version of The Fountainhead is located in the right-hand column on the youtube page...

She believed in a fantasy world where everything worked itself out. I don't hate her philosophy but you can't use it as the crux of your life because it's insane.

This is what's great, here. Dude hasn't even seen the first movie and has the nerve to call out the "statists" as whiners over Rand's shit.

Nobody's whining, guy...they're laughing.

That's why the first movie went triple lead on the charts. Nobody (including you) went to go see it. You can't even be bothered to rent it. How lazy is that? If you were really down with Team Ayn Rand, you would've been first in line on Friday the weekend it opened way back when. If Twilight moms can support their masturbation fantasies by putting in ass-to-road legwork, so can you.
