Wild Thunderstorms

So I'm traveling for work and I leave the city today just as the most insane storm clouds roll in. I drove in this for 3 hours and the lightning was insane.

CNN had some cool pics of NYC during it.

You see a lot oof this in Florida. I've seen it so bad down there that you had no choice but to pull over and wait for it to pass. Streets flooding etc.

NYC doesn't usually get mean storms like this one. The lightning was pretty fucking intense. At one point in the Bronx, one bolt shot sideways through the air right over the parkway. The boom was deafening.

LOL, I passed at least a dozen people doing that as soon as I left the city.

Amazingly, my trip only took an extra 15 minutes due to the weather.

Yeah, I deal with it all the time. Half the people are going 40 with their hazards on and the other half are zipping by at 75.

Fifteen minute's not bad. Usually I get held back at least half hour dealing with inclement weather.

There were severe thunderstorm alerts, and a tornado warning for Western MA today. It was not our turn, this time.
