Okay, I NEVER thought I'd say this but I see and agree with LJ's point on this. In either of the above situations I'd try to drag my Hubby to the ground. I don't want a hero, I don't want a star, I want my husband at the dinner table every night for the rest of my life.

Many women will say the men should have rushed the shooters. They are wrong. Or at least partially wrong. There are as many women as there are men capable of defending themselves. If heroics had to insue, then it should have been PEOPLE being heroic, not just the men. Men and women need to understand that one is no more important than the other.

If it were my kids being threatened I'd stand next to any man to put myself between my kids and any danger. It's not a man's job to play human shield or hero.
