James Taranto is gonna seriously get fired, but his question was... worthy.

I'll take that as a "none" answer to my question.Hey, do you guys ever play any other songs?
I'll take that as a "none" answer to my question.
My question has priority since it is the OP. Yours is off-topic.I'll take this post as a "I'm right handed and left-footed and my mom was French and my dad was Syrian and I really like ham radio and Moon Pies" answer to my question.

Only if you make your own thread. 'Till then the OP takes precedence.Mine is meta-commentary, which always takes precedence.

That is to say, I won't ever be taken off-point.
How many women risked their lives to save their boyfriends during that tragedy?
I think we all know what the answer is. And the ramifications are... uncomfortable to address. And I think you know my point - it's long past time that women got to know the concept of sacrifice as intimately as men do. Instinctually, women are incapable of that. Sure, they'll lay down their lives for their kids... but what about their boyfriends?
We are pushing for equality, are we not? Oh wait, no we're not. Being female implies privilege.
You know my points have no weaknesses, and no errors... which is why you want to divert the discussion with your "meta" points.
Dude, I see right through you. At least have the dignity to admit when the gig is up. You're a man like that... aren't you?
You know I'm relentless, dude.Hey, do you guys play any other songs?

Gnip.
How many women risked their lives to save their boyfriends during that tragedy?
Shorter if you just type "gnop."
Gnip.
Indeed, he should have expressed it differently.Iron John said:You know it's a really good question. I have never heard it asked before. I mean as far as I can tell, it's always been assumed that men would either risk or surrender their lives for women in danger. Now that women have declared themselves a man's equal, it opens up a whole new set of questions, such: Who will risk their lives for whom and why?
That being said, while I agree with Mr. Taranto's sentiments, I think he should have expressed it differently, being a professional writer and all. It would have done him and the issue itself the greater justice it deserved.
